Hey everyone! For anyone looking to get into this mod, I'm planning a full from the ground up remake.
I more than likely will make a seperate page for that. Wish me luck!

So far I am really enjoying the story of this part of the mod. I am to Quest 4 (which appears to be near the end of the mod looking at FNVEdit). I have found a few things to consider when (if?) you are go to/are rebuilding the mod.

NV Interiors you have already mentioned is not compatible... easy enough to deal with (I... think given how this mod plays out) by disabling NV Interiors and using Movetoqt in console to get to the two out of Bonnie Springs zones that the mod uses. Once done with mod, reenable NV interiors... which is possible because of... reasons.

Uncut Extras/Mojave Raiders - Both of these mods add a horde of Vipers into Bonnie Springs which kill everyone in town if you get within 1000 yards of the location. Again, easy to fix by disabling and enabling when done but still offering this up for you to know.

A few people have mentioned More Mojave, I am not certain as I have not encountered anything... yet... perhaps it has to do with the location of Quest 4 because More Mojave adds a lot of wonky places out in the middle of nowhere... the specific Middle of nowhere that is used for Quest 4... we will see.

All in all... so far I am really enjoying the stories and characters. I love the fact that you gave life to what was just burned out ruins before but... perhaps as you consider the rebuild, you do look at how to make this and NV Interiors play nice together... if at all possible. If it not, understandable but if so... it would be cool. Thank you so much for all of your hard work!

      Updates!

So I just completed one pass of the mod... and I am going to play again because I got ending D lol... My fault, I play no companion stealthy and... well... that play style immediately defaults you to ending D >.<.

Beyond that... I also apparently missed parts of the quests as well because of what is listed as the ending grades. I am going to be much more focus on every little thing this playthrough and hope I can find what I missed to get the better ending.

Also... I am going to echo what many others have said... making the townspeople easily killable is not fun. While I understand the reasons behind it both narratively and realistically... you are the unkillable courier! You should be able to save everyone. I fixed this by Modav and adding 5000 to their health making them neigh unkillable... I know cheating but this is my story hehe.

I really do enjoy the story and having never seen the Hills Have Eyes... I honestly think that it really fits with the general narrative of the game and world itself! Of to try to find the parts I missed.

    An honest critique to follow.

I honestly like that this mod did something with Bonnie Springs to make it feel more fleshed out. Good stuff! And I like that it has a reputation system.

However, the mod kinda fell apart for me after the cannibals were introduced. The escape section with the survivors of Bonnie Springs was straight up infuriating 'cuz they died in one or two shots from the critters of the moment.

I hear you plan to remake this, so I wish you luck! :)

Hey, just incase this hasn't been mentioned, this mod is incompatible with The Hollander Hotel and Casino mod. The door for the Club Ex - Clusive shares the exact same position as the door into the Hollander Hotel and Casino. At least for me, I couldn't even tcl behind any doors. There is just one door there, and for me, it was for The Hollander Hotel and Casino

This is my review of the mod. I'll try to keep spoilers to a minimum but please do not read further if you wish for it to remain a mystery.

Let  me preface by saying two things. Number one game development, even for a mod story in an existing title, is no small endeavor. Number two is I used "Prospekt Mir" 's video as a guide for this playthrough. On that video I seen the creator of the mod comment.

Here's what he had to say:
"Hey, thanks for giving my mod a shot! Sorry that last bit at the end their gave you trouble. It's so cool to see people are still playing this, although I will admit I'm not super proud with this mod as it doesn't really meet a lot of the standards I have nowadays with quest mods.Really enjoyed the video though! I appreciate how well edited it was and entertaining! Definitely earned a sub and I'm looking forward to any future fallout content!"

Based on that comment it seems this mod is one of his earlier works and he came a long way since this mod.

Now the reason I used that video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hn9xzgTaYrM ) is because I ran into a glitch on my first attempt playing this (which I talked about in my previous post on this page- scroll down if you want to see).

    -------------------------------

Now with that being said, I give this mod a 5.5 out of 10.

When I authentically tried to play it on my own accord- it broke and I could no longer progress. I had to watch a 2 hour video and play it that way to a T just to be able to beat it. And I was prepared to just skip to chapter 1 if that didn't work. And for some of you- yes I recommend just having this installed and skipping to chapter 1 if you want to.

Another thing that pissed me off is after you get captured, get a melee weapon, and break out of your cell is you have to melee one of the enemies. But wait there's more! You also get a bunch of Bonnie Springs villagers, who are not officially your companions but will follow you like they are. They will also gladly run in front of you to attack an enemy. That's fine and all until you accidentally hit one and they all turn hostile against you. And even if you reload your save and manage to avoid doing that, there's a good chance based on the gear you get that all the enemies are going to kill them anyways. So if you want an ending where most of the live- be prepared to save scum for at least a couple hours on that segment alone.

I just no longer cared at that point. The characters weren't even that enjoyable to begin with so I didn't develop much of a bond. So everyone ended up dying besides the former fiend lady and the baby Riley I managed to save.

You can also do a 100 speech check to convince the cannibal leader to change his ways. If you do so then he will convince his cult to no longer attack and eat people. If you do kill him then no one is there to lead the cult so they continue to kill and eat people. But after all the people I witnessed died and the hassle I went through, there was no way I was giving him a pass. I didn't even talk to him, just shot him in the back of the head with an anti material sniper rifle.

Also the ending slide had terrible audio mixing levels. I paused it, turned the music down, and it was still hard to hear the audio. You definitely want subtitles on.

Once again I'm giving this mod a 5.5-/10. I'm going to give other mods by this mod maker a chance because he seemed very humble in the comment section I seen him in. But this particular story mod is mediocre at best.

This is a pretty fair review since I made this about eight years ago at this point.
I plan to do a complete rework at some point, but I'm just so busy. Thanks for giving it a try!

Oh my God this mod can be glitchy. Don't read any further if you do not want spoilers.

I got to the part where I'm supposed to talk to the Khans and Powder Gangers to see who is behind the axe attacks. However everytime I leave vault 19 (powder ganger base) and get back to town everyone is dead and the quest is considered completed (even though the next step shows up unchecked). Also the dog killer is hostile against me even though I did nothing to kill these people.

I deleted all my saves prior to me doing any of the quests in  Bonnie Springs. I have a save of me just outside the village. I'm going to try tomorrow to see if I can play it differently and avoid the glitch all together.

If that doesn't work then I may skip to chapter 1 (you can start chapter 1 right away just need chapter 0 installed from what I heard).

I'll make another update as this progresses.

I'll update this comment as needed (or leave a new one).

I use FallOut Mod Manager (FOMM) to play my modded game play throughs. Because most of the files are .ISO (s) , I had to extract the archive into a folder then turn it into a new archive in the 7zip format. Not much of a hassle and definitely worth the process given how much gameplay is available from this series.

Hopefully it all works out for me and I have a lot of fun playing this mod.

You have to download and install it. You don't have to play it.
