A slightly silly idea, perhaps a version of this where the enemies spawn in places even where it might not make a ton of sense? It'd be funny at least.

I have been trying this mod out for a bit and I like it, Was wondering if you could create an Optional Hardcore Version of it (People Hate Your Guts Version) where the Hitsquad is significantly Bigger in Numbers (Good Karma:1 Mobster Boss, 4 Mobsters and 3 Hired Thugs.)(Evil Karma: 1 Sheriff and 7 Bounty Hunters), I know you probably won't update it again but its a Optional Consideration.

Coming back to my heavily modded New Vegas install after not playing it at all almost all this year and forgot I even had this mod installed.

I come out of an AWOP Rumble Zone, having almost gotten killed in there just to be immediately jumped by some sheriffs completely caught me off-guard.

I love stuff like this, it adds a lot of suspense to the game so you never really know what could happen, and when you can let your guard down.

Top tier 10/10 mod. Thanks for this.

I like the idea, but the implementation seems uninspired. Plus, I am so tired of hit squads. And most importantly, the point of the karma system is that it tracks the good or bad you do regardless of whether anyone else knows about it or not. Other people can't know what your karma score is, only you can (perhaps it should be listed somewhere in the pip boy).

I think it would be cool to have some things in-game have some manner of "luck"-derived outcomes, except using your karma score instead of your luck attribute. Examples:

You ask an NPC to trust you against their better judgment--this NPC has no way to know if you are telling the truth, doesn't know you at all, and is being asked to trust your mere humanity alone. Regardless of whether or not you are being trustworthy, (and regardless of your LCK), their odds of trusting you is based on your karma.

NPCs being willing to let their guard down around you could be based on karma, so that being more likely to take their stuff when they aren't looking will actually make them less likely to let you into their more guarded spaces.

Odds of more powerful variant enemies such as giant geckos, glowing/reaver feral ghouls, giant radscorpions, adult mantises/cazadores/deathclaws, super mutants or nightkin with more powerful weaponry, raiders or tribals with more powerful weaponry, hit squads with stronger armor, etc. could be more likely to spawn in enemy encounters as your karma decreases. A high karma would make the wasteland safer to travel, while a low karma would improve your quality of loot. (This also pairs well with the Good Natured trait especially if it ever gets improved to actually make a long-term difference.)

Just as an oil baron gets coal in their stocking for Christmas, your loot from containers could be affected by karma. High karma could result in fewer weapons and more medicines, survival items, magazines, light armor esp. clothing, and the weapons you do get may be oriented toward snipers and thrown. Neutral karma could result in more basic weapons and ammo such as guns and energy weapons, esp. small arms (pistols/rifles), stimpaks, and heavier armors. Bad karma could result in more explosives and heavy weaponry, fire-based weapons, melee and other weapons with bonus limb damage, chems, and lighter armors esp. combat light armors.

All that text just to whinge because a mod did exactly what it said it would do. No more, no less.

      It's not a whinge, it's a suggestion.

Yeah, I'm not entirely changing my mod based on someone's vaguely-related idea.

Hi there! I hope you're doing great, modder. I have a question, does this work alongside "Killing Karma Rewards Removed"?

I'm talking about this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/37546?tab=posts

From what I understand, your mod lowers the karma gains from killing evil and very evil NPCs, but I would prefer if I don't gain any karma at all, for roleplaying purposes.

When I ask an NPC to repair my items (such as Major Knight), my game instantly crashes. I've tested it multiple times and it's definitely this mod's fault. This happens when I use it alongside the Viva New Vegas modlist. I don't know if it's a conflict between this mod and another mod from VNV, so other people might not have this problem. Just passing here to register this fact.

Hey man! I just wanted to say that I encountered this issue as well. After uninstalling this mod, the issue resolved, so it may be worth looking into. That said ur mods are incredible, thank you for all your hard work.

Just finished a playthrough and I must say things didn't work as I imagined: For the first, I really can't be villified by The Legion even if I killed all the Legion members in the Fort. They are hostile toward me for sure, but the reputation level are just as bad as "sneering punk", and could sometimes back to "mixed", which doesn't really make too much sense... The most hilarious case is that, before I blew up BOS, I was "liked" by BOS; after the self desturction, I gained "Dark Hero" (this makes sense), then after the whole main quest, just few days after the BOS event, my reputation with BOS has reached "idolized" : /

I was idolized by NCR until I capped Kimball, which then got me to wild child. It's slowly back to good-natured rascal, but they're still hostile to me. Does this mod not clear the hostile flag?

It doesn't change anything related to factions or reputation.

Uhh, what? It surely clears bad reputation over time when you have very good karma. It's right there in the description.

No because if you kill kimball (or do enough harm) you will be branded as terrorist, while you can still get idiolized status the only way to revert the hostility is to do that quest where you get the platinum chip. But since you said that you killed Kimball, then that means you've already completed that quest.
