this patch needs an update to fix the typo, ive been trying for hours to get this to work and none of the comments are helping as those solutions require even more work. fnvedit also wont allow me to change the name of the BLEED-NV.esp to BLEEDNV.esp (the patch plugin is crossed out and i dont even think im able to change it anyways) Edit; i figured it out, pretty new to modding so its a little bit of a headache but yea wellden explains it perfectly under montanamb's comment
You likely will be able to change the .esp master name in FNVEdit without any ill effect, I'd assume it's a typo or BLEED's esp name has changed since the mod's creation
I've found a solution using FOMM to rename BLEED-NV to BLEEDNV. Because FOMM rules! - Right-click the .esp and open in TESsnip. - Click the TES4 group. - In the lower left window, double-click the last MAST entry. - In the window you just opened, you can see BLEED-NV in plain text and its hex counterpart. Click in the plain text field, and rename to BLEEDNV.esp - Click save in the bottom right corner and close the Hex editor. - Back in the TESsnip window, in the upper tabs click File > Save and name it as you wish. - Profit!
You must use Wrye Flash per zilav. Click on plugin (it will be red in WF) and find "change to" (in bottom right corner if memory serves) then open the "BLEEDNV.esp" from the dialogue pop-up and wrye will change the file name. Good Luck! TESsnip will work until you reopen with xEdit or LOOT and then it's botched again. Maybe the author will update
I have a question...would anyone be willing to teach me how to do this with visual guides...I can read but it is hard to follow the instructions you have all laid out??
1.open wrye flash through MO2 2. bottom right corner click on masters box....you will get a popup to update masters...say ok 3. do not hit save. right click on the BLEED - NV.esp (inside the masters box..might have to scroll to see it) and a "change to" popup will appear...click it 4. your virtual "data" folder will open...find BLEEDNV.esp and click on the BLEEDNV.esp...hit save...DONE 5. (optional but probably needed) open patch in xEdit to see if any changes need to be made
Can Someone Find me a Video Explaining how to Change the ESP name so i can use this ...I have a learning disability and I really learn better when I have a video or visual step by step guide explaining most things.
I dont mean to be a bother or pester anyone but i really could use some help here???
Is this mod abandoned/outdated? Outdated seems to be at least, knowing the last version of YUP is 11.smthing and this is for V. 10.4. Is this safe to use with the latest version of YUP?
Hey there! Haven't replied to any posts because I have been overwhelmingly busy IRL. Nothing bad will happen to your game if you use the patch, but it has likely missed some more NPCs that have been modified by the new version of YUP. I don't plan on making a new version any time soon, but the process of making a patch is quite simple if you know how to use FNVEdit. It's just a lot of comparing entries and dragging and dropping changes.
this is for the original impact mod, the compatibility edition from darthbdaman (the one that uses JIP) don't need any patches at all it's using a script to patch weapons automatically.
