I'm going to update this and alter it slightly. I intend to change how PA works, and have it act on top of the regular weight classes, instead of replacing them. This will allow things like Medium Power Armor to have different values.

I think this will be really cool, and will make the mod more versatile.

It's exactly the same mod but configured to work natively with TTW. There is no reason to use both of them at once.

what stats would you recommend to balance the DT with this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/61350/.
    I'm using the 5x multiplier.

PS. if anyone could get around actually thinking of making a similar mod-system for semi-automatic fire rate which works with the mathematics of firepower affecting how slow is the fire rate.. Which i do not know if that's difficult, be my guest. It can really get rid of the waste of time of making individual weapon mod patches over few times again lol.

BUT, i can't convey how ignorant i am about the game's AND this mod's programming and if it's affecting it that much to a point it makes the idea obsolete in some kind of way. I am just saying this mod's automatic system solved a good bit of the game's balance.

This is much needed, thank you! Always felt like heavy armor was super weak, power armor was little better than heavy armor, and medium armor was too heavy. This lets me fix it all, even in mods!

Is there a version of this mod or a way to edit it so it affects only the player character and not the NPCs?

This mod is not compatible with the Original Hellfire Powerarmor mod. That mod mimics the stats of the armor from FO3, so it has 50 DR and 0 DT. I assume this mod functions by reading the DT and multiplying the stats from there, because the Hellfire PA would have 0 in both DT and DR by presumably multiplying the original DT stat which is 0.

That is the balance issue of that mod not this one's fault.

Very cool mod with MCM setting but the downside is the NPCs get effected by this too so be careful when using this. I couldn't kill the viper gang member with metal armor even with my Anti Material Rifle xD

That's why i don't use this! LOL I just got bunch of damage resistance adding mods as a plausible alternative to this and it feels way better and natural! I use mostly mods, that add damage resistance as perks and/or only modify damage resistance for armors, that is usually not accissible to by other actors other than main character! (so that all the regular and common versions of various armors like Leather, Metal, Combat, Recon etc...all remain untcouhed with their default DT values!) This way i ensure, that only courier and no one else gets DR raising bonuses!...
...As for the challenge - there are others way more natural ways to achieve that! I dunno i don't find the fact that i can't blow the heck up of Caesar's Legion Centurion with my freaking Esther by throwing like 20 projectiles at him challenging! I find it freaking stupid! LOL
After playing with this for a while i dropped this mod for good, realizing it's breaking the game more than improving! This whole DR formula seem attractive on paper, but on practice - it's realization is very poor, trust me! You'll lead to the same conclusion after you run into your first Caeser's Legion Assassins' and you will waste your entire ammo on just one person! LOL Then you'll understand what i mean!

What would be required for this change to be applied to creature armor as well? Most of them get their DT values from an actor effect, would I need to change the scripts?

For now I've just made an override of the original actor effects and boosted them to a number I feel is appropriate (increase of 50% overall, since I'm lazy) and then added them to the mod, but I wonder if I can just have your mod do the work somehow so that it is configurable.

You'd have to rewrite the mod

I dont know if this is a bug or not, but when i adjust armor weights the mod works fine. But when i adjust DT and DR, i can't seem to tell the difference, i tried maxing out DT and DR then minimising DT and DR but i seem to receive the same amount of damage either way, am i crazy or are the DT and DR modifiers not working properly? (and yes, i made sure to install the required mods beforehand)

New vegas dt dr and rr has caps no matter how much you change through geck the amount of damage you get will be the same.

https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/46985  try this mod it removes the cap
