14/08/2017 - Finally playing NV after years... tested with FCO, it works fine.
24/03/2017 - V2 added (JIP NVSE VERSION) REQUISITES CHANGED!!! Make a clean save if you can. If you still have Lutana.dll installed, don't forget to remove it from the NVSE folder.
So for clarification, this will only need to run once at game start up, and once I load my character, change hair and save, all those hairstyles are patched in and I can disable this mod or?
Per the posts below, no, you can't disable the mod after running it once. Seems it has to run every time you play the game. Someone below said he or she ran the mod, exited the game, then disabled the mod before playing the game and the hair reverted to vanilla. The changes this mod makes doesn't persist in your saves.
I have both latest JIP and NVSE and it gives me an error and says I dont have JIP installed, so I installed in manually, It says the same thing, That I dont have JIP installed, but when I went in-game I still got the mirrors, but I still never got the options for the hairs or eyes, as if it wasn't install except for the mirrors, I am using Vortex for my MM and Vortex always seems to do a great job, so this one is puzzling me, any advice could help, thanks
when you launch the game and you arrive at the main menu, if you open the console it will tell you which version of NVSE and JIP you have. Can you please screenshot me that? I'd like to try with your same versions.
If you don't receive the message in the main menu, which tells you how much time it took to process, the mod's not running. You can try Hair Patcher 2 eventually: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/68016
Hello, I am having a problem with this mod. I know that I have JIP installed, but when the menu pops up, it says there's an initialization error and that i may not have JIP installed. I know that the latest version of nvse is installed and working. does anyone know what could be causing this? This mod and JIP have always worked fine for me before.
Strange. I have both the latest versions of JIP and NVSE and got the expected result that I now can see all added hairs and eye colours in the character creation menu when using the console showracemenu command. No pop-ups or other missing files warnings.
I'm having the same issue, I literally just downloaded and installed the latest JIP, but it pops up and says it's either not installed or not the latest version. Looks like I'll just have to add the hairs to my races manually, I guess. That seems easier anyway at this point, tbh.
Same question- do I need this to run every time I load the game, or can I safely un-check it once it's done it once as long as I don't care about losing the mirrors? The patcher running every single time I launch the game seems pretty redundant when I haven't changed my mods at all.
It seems to be doing it automatically at every start-up of the game. Not abnormal as that's what happens with every mod; it needs to get loaded. The patch in my opinion needs to be redone every time since there's no plugin to make the patch permanent.
Emphaticaly agree. It's a terrific mod as is; I can finally use all these eyes and hairs I've downloaded. Color this endorsed. But the repatch process seems redundant and unnessecery, particularly if FNV is having a bout of instability.
Tried running it, then turning it off, and my fancy hairdo went back to vanilla. So, no easy fix.
it must run everytime because it patches in runtime, in memory and with no persistence, as usually nvse works. this is quite a big thing for scripted mods, in general, if you have a problem you remove it and everything goes back to as before you installed it
This plugin finally allowed me to change eye colour when using showracemenu. Before, the eye colour menu was empty. I haven't gotten any pop-up warnings like cherrywxves mentions.
