NOTE: I just fixed a bug and noticed there was another bug, so I went and fixed that. However, I found it unprofessional to fix a bug, upload the fixed version, fix another bug, and upload another fixed version, so I decided not to upload the actually fixed version. If you don't want to wait until the next update to have the bugs fixed, just tell me and I'll upload the fixed version. And if you wanted to know, the bugs were that some darts, while they had a recipe in the crafting menus, could not actually be crafted.

Description

As the title and description suggest, this mod adds in a dart gun that not only edits the target's speed, but can also remove them from the game or prevent them from doing so. Speed chems now available!

There are now fourteen types of darts so far:

Dart: Standard dart as seen in Fallout 3. It poisons the target for eight seconds and cripples their legs. Can be used to make the rest of the darts.
Dart SI (Dart, Speed Increaser): Increases the target's speed on contact by one hundred twenty-five (125) percent of the normal speed multiplier.
Dart SD (Dart, Speed Decreaser): Decreases the target's speed on contact by fifty (50) percent of the normal speed multiplier.
Dart SIII (Dart, Speed Increaser M. II): A superior version of its Mark I variant. Increases the target's speed on contact by three hundred (300) percent of the normal speed multiplier. Also slowly regenerates the target's health and more features - similar to Hyper (see the chems available).
Dart SDII (Dart, Speed Decreaser M. II): A superior version of its Mark I variant. Decreases the target's speed on contact based on the target's current speed. If the current speed is above two hundred (200) percent, the speed will be decreased to seventy-five (75) percent of the normal speed multiplier. If the current speed is below two hundred (200) percent, the speed will be brought all the way down - zero (0) percent of the normal speed multiplier.
Dart DDIS (Dart, Disable): Upon contact with the target, the target will have only fifteen (15) seconds left to live before they disappear. If you accidentally shot someone you need, you can easily shoot the target again with an Enabler Dart. Be sure to bring Enablers with you if you brought Disablers - once fifteen (15) seconds are up, there's no fixing it. Their body cannot be found anywhere at all in the game.
Dart DENA (Dart, Enable): Upon contact with the target, the target will no longer disappear or die. It's recommended to bring these with you if you bring Disablers.
Dart HI (Dart, Height Increaser): Increases the target's height on contact by fifty (50) percent of the normal height scale.
Dart HD (Dart, Height Decreaser): Decreases the target's height on contact by fifty (50) percent of the normal height scale.
Dart HIII (Dart, Height Increaser M. II): A superior version of its Mark I variant. Increases the target's height on contact by one hundred (100) percent of the normal height scale. Generally similar to Colossus (see the chems available).
Dart HDII (Dart, Height Decreaser M. II): A superior version of its Mark I variant. Decreases the target's height on contact by eighty (80) percent of the normal height scale. Actually not similar to its chem counterpart, Diminish. Mostly because, y'know, Diminish is actually to its target.
Dart DAM (Dart, Damage Dealing): A dart made strictly for dealing damage. It does eighty (80) damage upon contact with a target.
Dart HEAL (Dart, Healing): Upon contact, the target gets seventy-five (75) health back, 'cause apparently this is Overwatch now.
Dart WAKE (Dart, Awakening): If an unconscious target is hit with this dart, the target will get up again with full health to do whatever they were doing before. Typically, you'd use this in combat when your follower(s) has/have gone down. You can also use this to resurrect anyone that is dead, just look at the corpse and shoot. Unfortunately, even if you do this, the any quests or quest stages that you have failed will not be fixed.

also i realized that the way the abbreviations are made aren't consistent but i don't want to fix it right now

There are four types of chems so far:

Hyper (Speed Increaser): Increases the user's speed when taken by three hundred (300) percent of the normal speed multiplier. Also slowly regenerates its user's health, slows down time, and more features (very powerful). Also highly addictive. Fun!
Delay (Speed Decreaser): Decreases the user's speed when taken by seventy-five (75) percent of the normal speed multiplier. I don't know why you'd want this... but it's there!
Colossus (Height Increaser): Increases the user's height by one hundred (100) percent and increases unarmed and melee damage.
Diminish (Height Decreaser): Decreases the user's height by fourty-five (45) percent and increases unarmed and melee damage and sneak.

Finally, there are also two types of dart guns.

Modified Dart Gun: A dart gun modified to use several forms of darts.
Modified Sniper Rifle: An anti-materiel rifle modified to use several forms of darts, and not the original ammunition.

Yeah, probably makes no sense in the real world. But, hey, this isn't the only dart gun mod out there, so go out and find another one if this seems too... lore-unfriendly to you.

The dart gun and many darts can be found in Doc Mitchell's house, close to where the Courier wakes up. You can buy speed chems and more darts from Chet. Chems can also be bought from Dixon in Freeside, and ammo can also be bought from several other ammo vendors. There may exist different sources later.

If any of the above information is incorrect or there exists a bug, please notify me.

Installation

Installation for this mod is simple, like most other mods.

1. Place the .esp found in the .zip in the data folder of Fallout: New Vegas (Fallout New Vegas/Data).
2. Launch Fallout: New Vegas.
3. Tick the check box next to "Speed Dart Gun.esp".
4. dun

Changes in Darts and Chems
12/11/16 | 1.3.0: I noticed that the Hyper chem was far too overpowered, so I had to nerf it. The speed increase of three hundred (300) percent has been taken down to two hundred twenty-five (225) percent, and the unarmed and melee damage you deal with it has been lowered. Along with the Hyper nerf came the Speed Increaser Mark II nerf, which suffers the same changes as Hyper.

Future Plans

Aggression darts. They might come in marks one and two. Anyway, these will make its target, upon impact, either friendlier or more aggressive. Mark I friendliness might just make them friendly - not harm anyone. Mark II, however, will make them fight for you. Mark I aggression will probably increase the target's confidence or aggression. Mark II will increase the target's confidence even more so and also frenzy the target.
