Wow.. I honestly didn't think many people, if anyone at all would download this and yet it made it to the hot files! I don't mind if you endorse me or not, but if you enjoy this, make sure to endorse the mod authors that even made this possible!
None that I'm aware of. Also I wouldn't call that playing a female. Machines, no matter how they look like, tend to be genderless (I mean, if we decide that gender is a combination of chromosomes it is hard to define gender of something entirely non-organic)
We, as sentient beings, tend to humanize everything around us. If a car can be a man's "precious baby" then an android can certainly be female. Especially if you consider that we recognize certain silhouettes as being either male or female within a split second of seeing it. These androids definitely have a female silhouette.
@Caideus1 - This mod is for the follower, not the race.
As far as male versions -- The backstory behind the A.R.E.S. Androids is that they were created by Advanced Robotic Entertainment Systems as the ideal partner that didn't spread the "New Plague" that was prevalent at the time. It wasn't until later when the Chinese invaded Alaska they they discovered that the androids were the ideal front line fighter because they were immune to biological warfare. You can read the details on Andrea's computer in her private quarters.
The pre-war Gen I's were non-sentient entertainment androids. The pre-war Gen II's were marketed as self aware, intelligent life partners, but later re-programmed as combat models. (Andrea) The pre-war Gen III's were artificially intelligent combat androids that were built after the plague had subsided. Some of these were male in appearance and voice. These models were all intentionally designed to wear out within a few years because their creators were afraid their powerful combat abilities could be turned against themselves. The pre-war Gen IV's were Gen I's that were upgraded to sentient models as partners for rich corporate execs. Gen IV-a (Geniva) was the first and assigned to Robert House.
anyone here know how to fix the ending to the ares project, can't get it to start "private time" in order for me to finish the quest. I have already tried using the patch that was aimed at fixing this problem but it still didnt work. Is there a means to force a completion of this through console command?
Edit: If anyone is having issue with the "Private time" event of the quest. Go to your mod manager you are using; select manage file for either The ARES Project Second Sequence or The original ARES Project; select the Ares project to take priority over the the second sequence then save; once done start up game and make sure your character is standing right next to her (like shoulder to shoulder distance) and the "private time" should run without any issues. once the quest is complete save the game and leave the game, you can go back to your mod manager and revert the previous action and have second sequence take priority over original Ares project; start the game back up and load the file that was at the end of the quest, and you will have your quest finish and using the Andrea beautification mod.
This is something I personally tested and has helped me solve the "Private time" glitch. I'm not sure if this will work for everyone, but as I mention, this is something I did as a work around for the glitch.
https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/64548 Apparently they've made a patch for it. But i havent gotten back to that point in my new playthrough so I havent been able to test it however most are saying it does not work.
this has got to be my favorite companion. only issue is im trying to give her a better energy weapon and a scifi sword that i really like but she wont use? also do you think there might ever be a version with the different MKX power armor? perhaps the version with the visor faceplate instead of the male variant helmet? or maybe the dark knight power armor with the mask instead of the goggles? if not totally cool either way.
can you make human female version of it that looks same it happens to remind me something but i dont dare say what is it edit note players npc companion for player charater
Okay so Quick warning. Ive noticed a bug that seems to interrupt Andrea's Home scene at the end of the quest. I think the various changes to her outfits and dialogue that accompanies it has also clipped her ability to strip for that scene. which causes the "andrea sandboxes around endlessly" bug that is more well recorded on the original Ares Project page. I found a workaround in just disabling the mod for the duration of that scene but I am fairly sure she will remain unable to share future intimate moments once the mod is re-enabled. I think probably the fastest workaround for this would be a version of the mod that does not impact her outfits at all. and changes her appearance. Honestly I'd try repack the textures myself but they're all packed into the esp already.
Yea maybe having a lite version with just the face beautification as a separate choice could be nice insted of it the whole thing with armors. And the patch here https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/64548 dont even fix the problem.
Agree, would rather just have a different hairstyle option. I prefer the outfits from the original mod, it's just the dreadlocks that make her look balding when wearing hats.
For those of you who are new here this mod breaks the armor changing scripts she has for completing her quest and in turn prevents you from having the fade to black sceens from happening so unless it gets fixed (And no the patch here https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/64548 dont even fix it) a separate/lite version with just the face beautification needs to become a thing.
