First things first! I've brought Modcast back with my fellow mod author Kris Takahashi, author of Interesting NPCs and Tales From The Commonwealth. Modcast is a series where we sit down and get to know your favourite mod authors. This week we talk to one of the creators of Beyond Skyrim, who details the trials and tribulations that went into the mod.
Regarding the mod - no updates started yet, but if you have *any* questions, suggestions, bugs or insults come to my discord. That way I can respond to you quicker!
It pleases me to say, that a Fallout 3 version of this mod will be coming out soon, not to mention Update 0.6 will have a raft of new features for those that have been enjoying the mod in Fallout: New Vegas. Please check this space ever so often, for more updates, and eventually, that solid date!
After some tinkering I managed to get the mod to behave, and it is a blast to have. Bravo, good sir. You are awesome. I'm quite surprised you still support this despite New Vegas being an older game, and hearing about new features sounds positively fantastic. So, double bravo. Can't wait to see what you're putting together.
YES! If I could choose what were to happen in 0.6 it would be: 1)Maybe a few more variants 2)Fixing that no fall damage EMP thingy 3)Perhaps the ability to 'clean' some armour variants to make them look newer, such as 'Lost Hills' or 'Hellfire'
But this is only 0.6, so there will be more updates, right? Right?
Hey! I haven't tried your mod yet, but based on what I'm seeing I must say it looks AWESOME! I have a little question though: is there a standalone version of your armour? I mean, like a piece of armor that replaces the original one in your inventory and the ones worn by the Brotherhood of Steel? Thanks in advance! Looking forward to more updates from you!
I loved this mod, but there are other models from Fallout 4, like the X-01 Power Armor and the Raider Power Armor, this mod should be one of the best that I installed, and I know you can do a great job with the other models, I think the fans wll like it
hope it will available soon for both NV & FO3, maybe just FNV considering how busy you guys with Frontier, or maybe other big project but yeah we will be waiting for this mod & other cool PA armor for previous Fallout.tq.cheers!!
- The Introductory Quest has had some tweaks. When you load the mod, you will detect a radio signal. Listening to the signal for a few seconds will trigger your Pip-Boy to mark the coordinates of the Promontory on your map. - The quest is also able to completed in a new way. - A SPECIAL requirement is mentioned on the first T-60 activation message, if you happen to not meet the check. - One of the T60 Variations is far easier to find and serves as an introduction to that unmarked quest. - Disabled the T60 menu, when activated by the 'N' key in the suit. - The T60 Power Armour receives a universal buff.
Thanks to those who have enjoyed the mod, and left their comments here saying as much. It can become a little much to reply to them all, however, I just want to again thank them very much - and, also, to equally thank those who have let me know about the bugs and glitches I might have missed. You are helping to make a hell of a mod!
" activated by the 'N' key in the suit." Its in reference to the debug menu thats brought up when the players presses the N button. Which was known to cause issues.
Could you also add a universal buff for the helmet as well? And maybe you could also make the new radio signal detected only when you're near the site similar to what Delay DLC - TTW does, if that's not too much of a problem for you. Great job btw! Best armor I've seen so far
So after loading the mod you say I should get a radio signal but I haven't at all. I wait around and mess around going around the map but I can't pick it up
When I am on first person camera and press the letter N it changes to third person. The letter N is for Adv. Recon mod from Gopher. That mod doesnt work with the T60 helmet. Other thing is that when I press the letter L it shows a booting thing and a new armour shows next to me. Dont know what to do with that.
the "N" Keybind used to be used for the Debug menu, which was removed in 0.4a; the view change is likely remnant code from that update. Pressing L was a way to circumvent certain scenarios where the armor would be forcibly removed from the player, and potentially lost; ie a cut scene in a completely disconnected cell.
I messed up. When I exited the armor I went to change the color and while changing colors I hit the option that said Debug. Now when I go to change the color of the armor it wont let me. What happens is when I press the button to change the color nothing else pops up and the menu window closes. Please help if you can!!
*** MAJOR BUG *** After installing this mod, my game no longer loads. It gets stuck on the main menu screen without any menus or buttons. Can't load game or do anything. Can't even bring up console. Help!
I would also like to know this. I mean, it's not like it's a big issue since it's stuck on the only color I actually use. I guess you could also just completely uninstall it, do the quest again, then addperk the ground pounds if you already had 'em.
the t-60 is just lifeless, when you get the code holotape the quest doesn't develop further and you're stuck with a lifeless t-60 which you can't do anything with
The T-60 armor is indeed pretty cool but it is even better when paired with the overall look and physics of a mod entitled, Titans of the New West 2.0. The install instructions for getting this mod to work with TOTNW 2.0 are absolutely unclear and horrible. If you wish to use Titans of the New West 2.0 and the T-60 together, you need to:
1 - Download and install TOTNW 2.0 2 - Manually download the T-60 Power Armor package to your desktop (You don't need to fool with the additional T-60 Power Armor Update 0.5a) and unpack it using 7-Zip or other. 3 - Download and install the separate mod, T-60 Power Armor as Normal Armor. Now, go to the unpacked T-60 Power Armor package sitting there on your desktop and copy/paste the meshes and textures folders. Then open up the main file T-60 Power Armor as Normal Armor file and copy paste those Meshes and Textures inside. 4 - Download and install this patch: T-60 Power Armor as Normal Armor -TOTNW Patch
In your load order, you should see (and want all three checked):
n1 - TOTNW 2.0 n2 - T-60 Power Armor as Normal Armor n3 - T-60 Power Armor as Normal Armor - TOTNW Patch
All three should be checked. The numbers n1, n2, and so on, refer to wherever you start them in your load order. For my, TOTNW 2.0 loads in position #61, but for you, it might be #43 or #97, ... just depends upon your personal selection of mods.
You should not have the original T-60 Power Armor package in your load order or installed.
If you had installed only the original T-60 Power Armor package, the armor could be found near the Deathclaw Promontory beside a crashed Vertibird. Since you did not install the original T-60 Armor package, there will be nothing there, ... no vertibird, ... and no T-60 armor. To find the new T-60 armor, head to Vault 11 and go straight ahead until you find the infirmary. It is found on a dead man laying on the floor. Hope this helps.
First of all i had downloaded the mod at first and i cant find the damn power armor. I search far and wide for that thing and i havent found it. Can some one help me? And i have searched the whole of the mojave.
Is it possible to drop the armor on the ground and then use console commands to copy the armor so that I and my companions are all wearing t-60 ? Or is there only a single suit of it and there's no way to get more ? What is the ID code to spawn in more using console commands ?
