This mod adds Uniforms of the NSDAP or Nazi Party's Sturmabteilung (1920-1945) and the Communist Party of Germany (KPD's) Roter Frontkämpferbund fighters (1924-29). At the moment, this mod includes

• Roter Frontkämpferbund uniform and Cap
• SA "Scharfurher" Uniform (1920's style)
• SA Caps from the Alpenland, Berlin-Brandenburg, and General Staff sections of the SA
• Cap and Uniform of the "Roter Marine" section of the Roter Frontkämpferbund (new in 1.1)
• Uniform and Cap of the Pre-1933 Schutzstaffel or SS (new in 1.1)

+++History+++
The 1920's and 30's were a period of immense instability in Germany. The Shaky Weimar republic was seen by many as ineffectual and powerless, And Hyperinflation ravaged the German economy. Political violence became a common occurrence in the new Weimar Republic. In it's early days, the Republic was shaken to the core by coup attempts and Putsches from both the left and right, the most famous of these being the Kapp Putsch carried out by the Freikorps, the Spartacist uprising carried out the the Spartakusbund, the Ruhr Red Army Uprising carried out by the KPD, and the Beer Hall Putsch carried out by Hitler and the NSDAP or Nazi Party. So, it should come as no surprise that, during the 1920's, many armed groups arose in Weimar Germany, most with political affiliations. At the least, they were organizations that followed a particular ideology, at most, they were full-fledged sections of a Certain Political party. Most Political Parties had an affiliated Armed wing of fighters. These groups would usually guard party members and gatherings from attacks by other groups or police violence, defend communities affiliated with that particular organization (Munich for the Nazi's, the Wedding district of Berlin for the Communists, etc.), and engage each other in street combat. There were many armed groups in germany at the time: The Freikorps, Stahlhelm, and Kampfbund on the right, the Reichsbanner Schwartz-Rot-Gold, the Sozialistischer Schutzbund, and Iron front on the Left. However, for this mod, we will be focusing (for the moment) on the 2 most famous organizations: The Nazi Sturmabteilung and the Communist Roter Frontkämpferbund. 

The Sturmabteilung (meaning "Storm Troopers), more commonly Known as the SA, was founded in 1920 after the Kampfbund, their previous militant wing, was banned in the wake of the failed Beer Hall Putsch. Their primary purposes were providing protection for Nazi rallies and assemblies, disrupting the meetings of opposing parties, fighting against the paramilitary units of the opposing parties, and intimidating Slavic and Romani citizens, unionists, and Jews. They Became Known as Brownshirts for their characteristic brown uniforms. At their height, the SA numbered up to 3 Million members, but before the Nazi's took power, they're numbers were closer to 150,000. The SA was mostly made up of the more radical elements of the Nazi Party, drawn from the poor working classes, who advocated for the implementation of Socialism (though not marxist socialism, as they hated the communists and marx) and the destruction of capitalism. Many of them were unemployed, and they saw the SA not only as a way to gain respect and employment, but also as a way to fight for their fellow German workers and Germany against her perceived enemies: Jews, Slavs, Communists, and other "Undesirables." What they lacked in skill they made up in numbers. The radical nature of the SA worried Hitler's upper and middle-class backers who got the Nazi Party into office, so much so that Hitler had most of the leadership of the SA killed and much of their members arrested in what became known as "The Knight of the Long Knives" on  30 June 1934. The SA continued to exist, but never truly regained it's formal glory, and was forcibly disbanded in 1945 after the Defeat of Germany.

The Roter Frontkämpferbund (also Known as the Rotfrontkämpferbund, the Rotfront, or the RFB) was founded in 1924, in much the same circumstances as the SA: they we're formed after the banning of the Proletarian Hundreds in the 1920's. The RFB fulfilled much the same purpose as the SA: Protect the party and party members from attacks by the police and other right-wing groups, and engage in street fighting with said groups. They also served to provide legal and financial support for Rotfront members who were arrested, as well as providing financial support for the unemployed through the Rot Hilfe. The Organization was made up of almost entirely working-class members, many of whom were veterans of the First World War. The RFB had a reputation for skill in combat, and oftentimes the SA were completely outmatched by RFB. Especially in larger industrial areas where a high percentage of working class people lived, reportedly the single call “RFB is here!” (German: ”RFB ist da!”) at the door of a pub filled with SA men would cause panic among those present. At their height in 1929, they numbered over 130,000 members. The Rotfront also consisted of the Sub-organizations the Rote Jungfront (RJ), made up of members between 16-21, the Rote Marine (RJ), made up of Sailors, and the Roter Frauen und Mädchen Bund (RFMB), made up of all women. As the years went on, the RFB engaged in bloodier and Bloodier confrontations with the SA and Police, culminating in the events of Bloody May 1929: RFB protests against the banning of May Day ended up with 33 dead and over 200 injured, which resulted in the Banning of the RFB. Many RFB members continued their antifascist work, however, in either the ranks of the Iron Front, Antifascist-Action (which still exists), or by going to Spain during the Spanish Civil War and fighting the Fascists. When the Nazi's seized power, RFB members were their first targets,and many who did not flee the country died at the Nazi's hands.
