Changelog 1.1:

-Added a new Base Building workbench that you can craft on a regular workbench
-All blueprints are now craftable from the Base Building workbench instead of the regular workbench to avoid cluttering the regular workbench
-Added a Base Building Sledgehammer craftable on a regular workbench. You can use the Sledgehammer to delete constructed objects instead of having to use console commands. On hitting an item with the Sledgehammer a message pops up, asking you whether you are sure about deleting the item.
-Fixed the terminal issue where the Player terminal appeared "OFF" even though the generator was running.
-Improved some of the lighting by increasing the light radius and changing the colors.
-On first launching the mod a note will now be added in your inventory with some basic information about the mod including the controls.

This mod is inspired by one of the most anticipated features of Fallout 4, base building.
This mods lets you build your own house/base using different items that you can craft at the workbench using mostly scrap metal. You can rotate and move the object close/further before placing it. Some objects like lights, turrets, terminals,... require electricity to function.

You can place utility objects like generator to generate electricity for a certain area or even place a fast travel beacon to place a fast travel marker on your own base.

The campfire also lets you craft some plants that you can then place in your garden if you build one. The selection of furniture and decorations might seem limited at the moment but more and more items will be added in future updates since adding new items only requires minor modifications to the current scripts.

Please report any bugs and glitches you run into and don't forget to write in the comments any objects you'd like me to add to the mod. Send over screenshots of your creations!

REQUIRES NVSE!

-Press E to place the object when satisfied
-Hold Y (or Z deppending on your keyboard) + LMB/RMB to rotate the object
-Use T/Z (or Y deppending on your keyboard again) to move the object close or further

-You can use the Base Building Sledgehammer to delete constructed objects instead of having to use console commands. On hitting an item with the Sledgehammer a message pops up, asking you whether you are sure about deleting the item.

-To delete an object you placed using console commands open your console using ; then click on the object you want to delete and type disable then hitting enter after that i'd recommend additionally typing markfordelete and hitting enter. This will completely delete the object not just disable it.

Q:How do I delete objects i place
A:The only way to do that atm is using the console. See Deleting objects above

Q:How large is the area for the generator
A:The default area of effect for the generator is 4000. This might change in future updates

Q:I placed a terminal and even though the generator is running it keeps showing NO POWER
A:Sometimes it does that. The script sometimes require some time. Just give it a second or quit the terminal and activate again until its on.

Place the Data folder inside your Fallout New Vegas directory and in the launcher tick Base building.esp
DON'T FORGET TO RUN THE GAME through NVSE_loader otherwise the mod won't work
this mod requires NVSE (New Vegas script extender) to run

-The objects you place won't be navmeshed naturally which means your companions won't be able to enter.
When you place turrets make sure to place them outside in a navmeshed worldspace for them to function properly

-When you place turrets and have a terminal you can use the terminal to turn them on and off instead of completely shutting the generator off all the time

-Since building a house/base might require large amounts of scrap metal you can now melt most weapons and some metal objects on the reloading bench to turn them into scrap metal

Don't forget to check the nexus for updated versions

Enjoy!
