"Theres a lot of mods here in the nexus that change the body types and make other changes that allow for better looking characters, yet most of the time these characters end up under a ton of power armor, and you pretty much never get to see their faces (or bodies for that matter). Well no more! This simple little mod I whipped out to throw Power Armor aside adds a nifty little friend, the Second Skin Armor, attaching to your character body and adding 35 DT and 3 Rad Resist (RR stuck for some reason). Just pick it up from the top of the Vigor Tester at Doc Mitchel's house (cause everything has to be there, thats why) and equip it from your inventory. From there on, Its a "Wear whatever looks best to you" for as long as that DT seems okay to you. Now it might seem OP at first (reason why I chose this mod cathegory) but at later stages It balances out as you find harder enemies. Still, nothing like kicking a Deathclaw on the bollocks in style am I right?
Installation is as simple as unpacking all files to your data folder and tick it on your Mod Manager of choice.
Might make something bigger out of this, walking around with a bunch of nice looking, damage eating followers sounds like a nice idea."
Man was I drunk when I wrote that? Anyways, changes made to this version are as follows:
The Second Skin Armor was originally found by the Enclave, but while they were trying to apply revergy engineering to it to figure out how to use it for their own reasons, a splinter cell decided to swipe in and take it away, fearing what The Enclave might do with such powerfull technology. They sent it to Doc Mitchel by means of a certain courier with a knack for survival, and that's where its remain hidden ever since, should courier six pick it up and wear it? Who knows...
Lore behind it:
Created before the war mainly for espionage and infiltration operations, the Second Skin Armor (as it was named by the very people who used it) was meant to be an undetectable and untraceable way of protecting both VIPs and agents. The armor is not armor per se, but an army of nano bots based of the sub dermal implants, however this little bots were not made from bare iron, but a reinforced metallic alloy of unknown origins, the alloy seems to react to certain signals emmited from the armor's control unit, it tells the little nano bots where to go and how to act. The nanobots feed on radioactive components, making it capable of working for inmessurable time in the wasteland's radioactive enviroments, and helping the user fare a lot better the dangers of prolongued exposure to it. Without weight, with an incredible ability to absorb and disperse a large amout of force, even stopping bullets from low calibers without allowing the user to be damaged, enhancing the user's natural abilities by boosting the immune system and following his or her lead and aiding in weight lifting or even on normal movement, the Second Skin Armor was the highest pinnacle of warfare equipment in the years before the war.
Effects given by the armor ingame:
35 DT
50% Rad Resistance
+1 To STR, END and AGI
Allows other armor/clothing to be equipped (doesnt show on the character body)
Installation continues to be as simple as hitting download with manager and handling things from there (the packaging has been made with MO in mind, its ok to hit the "Ok" button, no need to check the filetree)
Unninstalling is as easy as erasing all the files from this mod, from your Data folder.
Compatibility shouldn't be a problem, since this is just a tiny addition.
Location: Doc Mitchel's house, next to his desk where you wake up, in a footlocker on the floor.
Comment: "This is a cheaaaaaat"
Response: Yes, yes it can be used to cheat yourself into over 70-80 DT, but I made it so I could wear whatever armor I like to make my character look great and not have to go around wearing some armor I dont like or that I feel doesnt fit with the roleplay of my current character (for more info, try to play a "Scientist" sort of character, lab coats on very hard with Realistic Weapon Damage will get you killed out in the wasteland)
