I will like to thank all of you who has sent this soaring into the hot files This was - honestly- quite unexpected.
We had a great vacation down there and it was very interesting to visit the places in real life.
I am very happy that I have been able to convey some of my own amazement at the accuracy of the game and being able to let you catch a glimpse of it.

This is great! I really enjoyed seeing some of the inspiration for the designs. Thanks so much for putting this together.

Great stuff! Fantastic to see how accurate they did the job with the scenery.

One question, the 4th picture about Doc Mitchells house, which mod or house is the house with the Sunset logo's in the foreground on the left?

Thank you for your kind words We had a great trip to the Mojave that year and have become quite infatuated with the desert, coming back every year.
As for that building...... You almost got me there. I haven't played New Vegas since FO4 came out and I've long since uninstalled NV. But - fortunately I've kept a backup of - most of - the mods I used and I managed to find Dalls Lodger by Dall on one of the warehouse shelves. It was one of my stables that I wouldn't want to be without once I tried it. The quest is fun the first couple of times you do it. Then....... ah, well. Though if you're up for a tough fight and some good loot it is always worth doing. To me the main attraction is having a decent trader in Goodsprings.I also think it fits very well into the overall scenery.

Thanks Bernt, I didn't knew it was a quest mod. First things first, I will give it a try but main thing is the trader in Goodsprings. It looked on your picture like some kind of pub or saloon and we can't have enough pubs in the country :-)
Me too am busy with FO4 but a couple of months ago I dusted off FNV (again). Personally I think it is the best of the FO series. FNV has great atmosphere, scenery and I like that it is possible to give it a good wild west western touch with various mods.
Wish I had done a grand tour like you did. I live in Europe and that is pretty far away from Nevada. Perhaps one day I will do such a trip. It is great that you are sharing your pictures of your trip to us. Many thanks again!!!

Europe is not THAT far away from the Mojave - anymore. We live in Denmark and we got tickets - 2 adult, Las Vegas and back for less than 900 Euros on KLM Leaving mid March for the wonderfully dry and warm desert - and cactus flowers

Great comparison shots! I've visited all of these locations (except Nipton) in real life as well and it's staggering how accurate a lot of the places are, especially Goodsprings. Zion is the only exception, but that's understandable because in reality it's quite an ethereal place, hard to recreate. Kudos

Thank you very much Phoenix Yes - Zion is really a very special place. I think they did a fair job of capturing the landscape. But you have to experience the place in RL in order to feel the tranquility -even when surrounded by a mob of (other) tourists.

wow man! u did the strangest thing! in fact one of the most commendable feat to compliment this awesome game! u relived Fallout New Vegas in real time! u have relived History dude! just imagine how it must have felt, playing the game, and visiting the places in the game and discovering them in almost similar environment.... from virtual reality to the real world! absolutely amazing! Kudos! Bethesda should welcome u as a honorary guest in their studios for once!

Hi Zander. Sorry to be late here. Just saw your comment. It was indeed fun - and somewhat surrealistic- to visit places we'd never seen before. And yet get a sensation of deja vu. Thank you very much for your very kind comment. Makes me blush

Thank you for these! We recently came back from a holiday to this area and managed to get to some of these places. I couldn't get close, but still gave a little cheer driving past the signs for Nellis and Boulder. The Hoover damn at night was amazing.

Lets hope the next installment is just as accurate. It will be a good excuse for a similar photo tour there :-)

Thank you Nitelite It was really an odd sensation driving into Goodsprings feeling as if you'd been there many times already. But Nipton too gave me a feeling of deja vu
Don't know about Boston. My Commander in Chief still talks about the south west
