Update and Plans

Version 1.41 released 10/19/15
Minor update to fix the problem with the Nipton Station marker not showing up. If you already have version 1.4 you can just download the esp under optional files.

Mojave Express Courier Stations

The wasteland is a dangerous place and the Mojave Express doesn't make any money if its couriers don't survive to make their deliveries. To make that more likely, the Express has set up a series of stations around the loop that connects the major settlements. There is one in every settlement plus some on the long stretches in between.  Some are pretty fancy digs, others are rat holes, but they all have everything that a courier might need to keep them going. The stations aren't just a series of generic shacks – each one of them is unique and located in a different kind of building (or vehicle) and all have their own feel to them. See the images section for a few examples of what to expect.

What you'll find in the stations:

  •     Plenty of basic secure storage
  •     A place to sleep – there are three stations, including Goodsprings, with a bed that gives the Well Rested perk.
  •     A working oven, grill, etc. that will bring up the campfire menu. In many stations, this is the Rocket Stove (new item) – a kind of homemade camp stove.
  •     A workbench and reloading bench if there isn't already one nearby.
  •     A map to direct you to other stations. Each station has its own map maker.
  •     A source of fresh water.
  •     A barber mirror that lets you change your hairstyle (not in all stations).
  •     A radio tuned to Radio New Vegas.
  •     Minor loot – food, medical supplies, etc. If you poke around you might find a few things a bit nicer.
  •     All stations are fully navmeshed for companions.

Getting started - finding the stations:

You'll find the first station in Goodsprings in the cellar of the General Store. The entrance is outside and around back. Look for the map posted on the bulletin board. Click on that and it will add the locations of the nearest stations to your Pip-Boy. Do that at each station and eventually they'll all be added to your map.

Installation/Uninstallation/Requirements

This mod requires nothing but the basic vanilla game. Install using FOMM/NMM. If you want to do a manual install you probably already know how – mecourierstations.esp goes in the data directory, and everything else goes in data/meshes/mojexpr or data/textures/mojexpr. Delete those to manually uninstall. There is now an alternative esp for those who have asked for a reduced number of map markers - just overwrite the default esp with this one. For most stations the map marker for the nearest settlement is used.

Bug Reports and Suggestions

If you  have suggestions or comments post them here. I'll check in fairly often. For bug reports if you can also send me a PM that would be great. I think I've been pretty thorough  about making sure everything is clean and error free, but this is my first mod and it's biggish so I may have missed things.

Compatibility

This mod adds over a dozen new locations to the game so it's inevitable that it's going to conflict with something out there. If you find a conflict, especially with one of the popular mods, post here and I'll see what I can do about a fix. Let me know the name of the mod and exactly where the conflict occurs.

Permissions

If you want to use any parts of this mod or make modifications to it then send me a PM. I'll probably say yes. If I don't respond in four weeks then assume I've died and use whatever you like.
