XPadder Fallout: New Vegas layout by: Dokuujin

Sick of not being able to console commands without first unplugging your controller? Don't want to remap your key bindings
in order to use another person's XPadder lay out? This is the lay out for you! This layout is specifically to emulate as if
your xbox controller settings were set to "on" with a few small differences. No need to remap key bindings; everything is
set to work off of New Vegas (as well as Project Nevada and Prone Mode) default settings. All the buttons are in the same place, and everything works exactly as you would expect it, except a few differences.

Note: As they are more PSN terms, just note that R3 and L3 refer to clicking in your joysticks.

*CHANGES/FUNCTIONS*:

*The "grab" option is no longer bound to a controller button - instead your R3 button will swap between first and 3rd
person view. - If you are using Prone Mode, hold down R3 to hold your breath.

**WARNING: Holding your breath can occasionally cause XPadder to stay on the alternate button section, rather than
automatically switching back when the button is released as it is supposed to. If this happens, Alt+Tab out of the game,
open the XPadder window, and make sure your controller is set to page 1, not page 2 or 3.**

*The LB is now bound to Run/Walk, also known as Project Nevada's sprint button, making it much easier to sprint in Project
Nevada for controller users!

*L3 now toggles crouch - If you are using Prone Mode, hold in the button to go prone.

**WARNING: While this is an issue with Prone Mode it's self, and not XPadder, you can occasionally have trouble getting
out of prone. If this happens, hold LB to trigger Project Nevada's sprint. You should see the stealth bar go from Hidden/Detected/Caution/Danger, then simply click L3,and your character will switch to crouch rather than prone. An additional note - Sprinting in prone technically breaks the function, as you will no longer be read as prone or crouched by the game, even though you still have reduced speed.**

*While aiming down the sights or using a scope, press DPad UP will toggle Project Nevada's Bullet Time, rather than changing ammo type. Ammo Type can still be swapped normally when not aiming, or via keyboard. Bullet Time is not bound to any other key.

*THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND*:

* V.A.T.S works slightly different, as it reads as you're using a keyboard/mouse, rather than a controller. It acutally makes V.A.T.S less glitchy, but takes some getting used to.

*To skip dialog, you have to pull the RT, rather than pressing A.

*When navigating any king of menu or dialog, as above, pull the RT rather than pressing A. This is because RT emulate
pressing your LMB, and A emulates the space bar.

* Your PIP boy functions as if you're using a keyboard and mouse, so it may work much differently than you're used to.

*LB and RB no longer switch tabs in the pipboy - and with all pipboy/menu functions you must now use the curser to select
things.

*To bind items to your quick slots, hold the preffered DPad arrow while aiming at the item, and pull the trigger. If you
prefer to simply use keyboard/mouse in the menus, you rather hold the keys 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, and then click your
LMB.

*As indicated above, it may be simpler to use the keyboard and mouse for dialog and menu navigation. While it's set up
that you can use the controller, some things are just tedious with it.

I can't think of anything else that needs to be noted as far as control functionaility goes. If you have any recommendations or find any odd bugs, let me know!

*REQUIREMENTS*:

XPadder: http://xpadder.com/download.php?lang=english&mode=start

*OPTIONAL*: (Recommended!)

Project Nevada: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/40040/?

Prone Mode: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/49491/?

While neither PN or PM are required for the layout to work, some features may be missing or feel awkward without them, and
the controller was designed with them in mind, not just default buttons. As stated above, feel free to comment or message
me if you find any issues, or have suggestions!

INSTALLATION:
After download and installing XPadder, drag the My Controller (XBOX 360 For Windows) and New Vegas Project Prone Nevada
files into the main instalation folder for XPadder (or extract the contents of the zip file direclty), then simply open XPadder, select the controller and layout, and you're all set! Once both are selected, you should only ever have to open XPadder for it to work.

When installing XPadder, make sure your set it to associate the file type - If you're running windows 8, you might need to
run XPadder in compatability mode for Windows 7 or lower.

Launch FONV, go to options, controlls, and make sure "enable Xbox 360 controller" is set to OFF.

Note: If you want to add key bindings for other mods, or more of Project Nevada's features, you CAN change them yourself.
I do not own XPadder or any other content listed - if you want to post your own XPadder layout with different functions
directly based on my layout, you have permission. Credit would be nice, but I could care less.

Enjoy. c:
