This mod was made as a request for a simple, low impact, individual rainfall mod. I know there are awesome weather mods that do much, much more on the Nexus, and whatever suits your needs best please feel free to mod your game however you see fit. Happy Modding!

Known bugs: Some locations will not produce rainfall, but the sky will still change to a rain climate w/ thunder and lightning.

For TTW users, use a ESP explorer to get the umbrella to start the rain at your leisure, this HUD mod has one you can use

I've tried making this mod work but it never does. I have all the requirements. I've tried removing other mods to see if that's the problem but it isn't.

After some investigation, I have discovered that the absence of rain is based on elevation, not location. Going to a high place, like Jacobson shows the rain; a place like cottonwood cove does not show.

I would agree with you but I've run into three or more invisible crossing points that cut off the rain, and none of them had any change in land height or topography.

I've seen with Nevada Skies & the snow version (my current playthrough) that the snow can disappear exactly the same way when crossing certain sections of the map. One place, in particular, was just NE of Quarry Junction near a house mod I'd recently installed, and it contained no changes or edits to the weather or climate at all. The entire sky and weather pattern would change due to the location and direction I was traveling, instead of shifting weather patterns in the NV Skies mod, and would change back the instant I returned to the other side of the line.

I've checked for mod conflicts and more, and while elevation very well may play a key role in certain sections of the map, there are others that simply fall victim the game's engine limitations trying to process in real time. I do thank you for your input though, and hope you enjoy the mod. Cheers.

Turns out you're right. Honest Hearts' rain script checkes for the z coordinate, and, if lower than the minimum, shuts off the rain effect. Possibly to avoid rain underwater :P. I pulled out a patch that solves this, but requires JIP LN.

Could you possibly share that patch?

So I got this mod to work with Realistic Wasteland Lighting, just load this mod after, but it tends to rain very frequently. Anyone got any idea on how to lower the frequency via GECK? I tried and I'm a little lost.
