About this mod

I wanted all of Project Nevada's cool night/heat/EM vision plus target analysis, without having to wear a some helmet that didn't look well with my armor. And so I did this in like 10 minutes.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
The one liner: Need NVSE, need Project Nevada. Just copy the .esp into the Data folder.

Tired of having to wear a helmet that doesn't let you see your character's beautiful face, just so you can see all those raiders coming to hit you with pool cues (because dark nights are cool)? That Power Armor Helmet,  Combat Armor Helmet MkII, etc. doesn't look so well with your character's awesome bounty hunter duster? You just want your character to wear no helmet, while still enjoying the Night, Heat and EM vision plus target analysis that Project Nevada offers you. At least that's what I wanted. So I made it. The lazy way.

DESCRIPTION: This "mod" adds a new armor helmet thingie to the game, that has no model, but lets you use all of PN's cool stuff.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
  • Download file
  • Go to ???\Fallout New Vegas\Data
  • Dump there the only file in the .zip
  • Add the file to your load order from the launcher
  • ???
  • Profit!

MORE DETAILS
  • The object is added to the player's inventory when the game starts if they don't have it already.
  • It's considered a Headband because PN wants that and there's no avoiding it. So you might not be able to wear some things with it.
  • 0 DT, 0 DR
  • Weight 1, value of 1000.
  • Affected by the four eyes trait. I think. I haven't bothered to test it. But the object effect is "EnchFourEyesGlasses". So I guess it is.
  • Repaired with Power Armor Helmets. Not like you'll ever need to repair it but whatever.
  • No models. At all. If you drop if you lose it. Like real life lenses.
  • Uses Energy cells, even if you're wearing power armor. I think. Haven't tested that either. But if you use power armor then you'll probably use a power armor helmet anyway.
  • For some reason, sometimes target analysis only works after unequipping and re equipping the thing. I don't know if that's me or PN. I don't really care, it's a minimal bug for something that is only a small utility.

There, that should be all.
No one will ever download this.
I don't blame them.
It took me 10 minutes in the Geck.
