INSTALLATION


ESP file and textures folder should be placed inside the Data folder of New Vegas. Activate with your mod manager of choice and enjoy. Ideally, download with manager and activate the mod. This way it'll be much easier to remove it in case of rabies. Also, make sure you've got all major dlcs active. This mod uses them as masters so your game will crash if you don't have them installed/enabled.


BASICS


This mod adds ghoul race as available option during character creation. It also enables reanimate eyes, an eye patch, all ghoul and human hairstyles and for whatever reason also has every single ghoul preset available in the game and from any mod you may have installed. Example: if you have one of the Rockwell mods installed you can expect an army of super deformed ghoul presets to be available.


DETAILS


I got in the mood of learning the ways of the GECK and this mod is one of my first results. I know there is like a legion of ghoul race mods out there already, but I don't like any of them. And when you don't like something you should make something better yourself and so I did.

Now, hopefully this mod is free of some trash data, dirty edits and whatnot. I don't really know what any of this means, I just know that all I did(after I finally figured out all the stuff I needed) was going into the GECK, loading up the vanilla game and main dlc masters, activating the ghoul race, activating reanimate eyes, activating all ghoul hairstyles, the eye patch and then dragging all the hairs and eyes into the ghoul race window to get them in. I saved the mod, I tested it out, made some screens, you can check them all out, even made a little title picture just in case my mod ends up being the best next thing since sliced bread so it'll look pretty on the front page. And what I would really appreciate(with very very warm "thank you") is if some GECK savvy people, maybe some actual modders et cetera, took a look at this thing and evaluate it. I don't think I left any junk in it, I edited it with FNVEdit, added pretty description and signed it, removed some random human race edits I apparently made(I think GECK just likes checking as edited random stuff I clicked open) and saved it.

Oh and I also "made" the texture of reanimate eyes as there was none in game. That said, it's just a retexture of ghoul eyes and it's pretty poor. I suck at graphics so you may want to get some fancier eye textures if it bothers you. And last but not least, I did added FPP ghoul hands textures. They're just renamed TPP ghoul hands textures so again, they may look like crap. And again, the best solution is to get yourselves some nice retexture mod.

All that said, I believe this is the most complete ghoul enabling mod for Fallout New Vegas. Hence the fancy name. I hope you enjoy it and again, I will appreciate some feedback.
