Hello everybody! Today I decided to upload this night sky texture that I've been using for a long time. The resolution is 1024x1024 so there should be no performance loss.
I play with a mod that darkens nights, so sometimes the sky just looks very bleak and empty. I tried other night sky textures around the Nexus, but none of them really brought a splash of color like I wanted (and that I would be able to see despite the darkened nights!), so my husband whipped this up in like half an hour, bless his soul. The texture is based on one of HardLeather's textures mixed with bits of real astrophotography. I really like it, so I figured I'd share. Never hurts to have more options.
I uploaded a couple of screenshots with vanilla Fallout 3 night sky, and one with darker nights enabled so you can have an idea of how it looks. You can download this mod for Fallout 3 here.
To install, extract the contents of your downloaded file to your "Steam/SteamApps/Common/Fallout New Vegas/Data" folder. That should be all, no esp required. Have fun!
