About this mod

This Mod adds multiple Retextured versions of the NCR Vetran Ranger Armor and a Perk Tree in which to obtain them.

Been Out Lately my secondary Data Hard Drive Nuked itself with an ESO Botched Install (thanks For Nothing Bethesda) so all my progress on all my mods went out with it, New Vegas Kinda Fell on back burner at that point (anyone who has had it happen can relate) i actually started focusing on other matters like my Concealed Carry and Class A "Millitary" weapon permit, As well as Upgrading My CDL from B to A. lots of IRL stuff and ALOT of Government books, classes, paperwork. 


This Is a Mod i have been working on For the Past Year or so. Basicly what i had done was Take Raratork's Desert Ranger Armors plug in and instead of just Putting them in a Container somewhere out in the world i created a Whole Perk Tree and Rank Structure for Role Play Purposes. This Mod runs off of a few other Mods so you will need to download those separately (they are actually Highly Endorsed mods that should be a part of every load order)

Gun Runners Arsenal, Caliber, and weapons of the new Millenia

There Is no Freebies in this mod if you want the Armor and weapons you have to work for them!!!

The "Rank Structures" are based on Level and skill the First Prerequisite Perk can ONLY be taken at Character Creation or if you have Old World Blues can be added by Auto Doc. this Trait will give you the Base Armor and The Low Level Base Helmet. the next series of three perks Can Be Taken at level 5 and the Choices Are:

Scout: prerequisite Desert Ranger Trait, Survival 30 and Guns 50

this Class is Based off of what i feel a True Ranger Should be, of the Three Level 5 Perks this is the Hardest to Get as it has the most Prerequisites but sets you up for the Highest Powered Tier Three perk Choices. this perk gives a modded Trail Carbine Named and stated after a Similar Real Life Lever action Rifle and a new Helmet with Higher DT this option also Throws in a Vanilla High Level Perk Given to the PC to help With "Scouting" (if you want to know what perk play and find out)

Quarter Master: Prerequisite Desert Ranger Trait, repair 50

this is for those of you who prefer to work indirectly behind the scenes it is a Class based Off the Repair Skill and also gives access to a Helpful high level perk. this Class is Meant to Be A Stepping Stone into an energy Weapon and Science skill Play through, though i set the Prerequisites low so you wont have to go out of the way to still Dual Class into The Repair and Obtain the benefits of a High Level Perk early Game. it comes With A Modified Laser Pistol and some Ammo.

Sergeant: Prerequisite Desert Ranger Trait, and Guns 40

Basicly the Dump stat Class its the one to take if you fall short of the Scout but still want to be an offensive class. it has a Single Fairly low Skill Prerequisite comes with a Modifiable assault Rifle and some Ammo. there is no High Level perk or any other benefits At this moment but there is some future plans for this perk.

after these three there is a Second Set of Three Perks (tier 3) these are meant to be the Commanding Officers to the Tier 2 Ranks these have higher Prerequisites and larger Benefits.

Sniper: Prerequisite: Scout Perk, Survival 50, and Guns 75

here is what you scouts will advance into this Class Is a Long Term Class and as such has High powered weapons and a High DT helmet. This class has a Modified Hunting Rifle and automatically gives the Scope mod and Custom Action Mod. It also gives a modified Pistol Out of one of the Dependent mods (HK USP Match) the mods for the pistol is up to you. Note that the Ammo for the pistol is a Caliber Mod ammo patched for Honest Hearts .45 auto. To obtain more ammo after what I have given you WILL NEED to Complete Honest Hearts. (those with out Honest Hearts im not sure how Caliber Handles .45 ACP ammo)

Desert Ranger Captain: prerequisite Desert Ranger Sergeant, Guns 60

once again a Dump stat Class, eventually when I implement the NPC's and Faction there will be ALOT more benefits but as of now not really any. This is a stepping stone from the Sergeant to the Elite Prestige Classes. You don’t get much other than a new Assault Rifle and a Pistol (also Uses .45ACP)

Desert Ranger Tech Specialist: Prerequisite Desert Ranger Quarter Master, Science 50 and Energy Weapons 50

This is where we really start getting into a Technology Play through once again a Long term Class Comes With a New Plasma Rifle and Plasma Pistol


Now at Level 20 Comes the Prestige Classes (tier 4) there are only two and one Dead Ends as the highest in its field

Desert Ranger Special Forces:: prerequisite Either Sniper or captain,, Guns 100

These are the Soldier Elite. These are the Guys you call when things go wrong they are armed to the teeth with all new High DT armor and Helmet surpassing even the T51b Armor DT and A High Powered Light Machine Gun with a 200 round clip

Desert Ranger Hacker: Prerequisite DR Tech Specialist, Energy Weapons 70, science 100

This is the Technology and Science play through Class Cap this one is a dead end perk meant to be the highest ranking member of their Section. This Guy Also Has the High DT armor and helmet But it is re textured to be solid white with blue eye lenses, this guy comes equipped with MY version of a Gauss Rifle basicly the actual thought behind this weapon is that the ranger took a regular Gauss rifle and solved the Power Management issues, it still has a 5 round clip like the standard Rifle But each shot only uses ONE MFC So you can fire 5 times before reload instead of 1 shot reload.

Just when you think the Rangers are at their Peak and cant get any more Broken we Come to the Elite Class starting At level 30: WARNING SHIT GETS REAL RETARDEDLY OP IN THIS CLASS

Desert Ranger Veteran: prerequisite Strength 8, Survival 100, Desert Ranger Special Forces

OK this is the peak of the Mod at this point there really isn't much in the wasteland that can stand up to you now here I come granting you Ridiculously High DT armor (Highest in game) and the Most powerful weapons in the Game. This gives you a Modified version of the Anti-Material Rifle and not just any rifle but the Modifiable GRA version as well as a New OP revolver. Basicly the rifle deals 200 DAM and an extra 200 if you critical. So if you can stay hidden basicly you can one shot kill your way through Quarry Junction. On a High Powered PC with the View Distance maxed this gun can deal Massive amounts of damage at extremely long range and for your Close quarters Encounters the Revolver Deals massive Damage for a pistol.

OK by now you are thinking how can this class be practical for a challenging realistic play. Well both the Veteran weapons are Unable to use VATS period end of story. You have to free hand these which is somewhat Difficult in a large fire fight with lots of movement.

And Lastly I used CaliberX to gain access to the. .45 ACP caliber without Honest hearts DLC. (tried to use as much free stuff and minimal paid stuffs) so Thanks to FluidFire for the Caliber Modified
