I know this mod has been up for years now, and if I had to guess all work on it is done, but I was wondering if it's possible to change the animations used for it. The example I was thinking of is making it be used like the Ripper, as that would visually match up slightly better with how the Stun Rod is used in Peace Walker.
Regardless, I love the games, and I love this mod, so even if nothing happens I'll still be using it.
Loving the fact that you're making Metal Gear Mods for New Vegas. I've got most of the stuff you've put out. Any chance of converting Metal Gear Solid 4 weapons such as the MGL 140? I've been wanting this weapon ever since I started playing this game. Also, would be cool to see Snake's Stun Knife from MGS4.
In response to the request on how fatigue damage worked on players, I did a couple of tests consisting of having my character being beat by people with differing cattle prods for a bit and put it on youtubes. http://youtu.be/gYEjto580EE
I gonna go shock some people with your sweet stunrod now.
So, if I understand this correctly, the vanilla Cattle Prod doesn't deal fatigue damage to the player? From the video, it also looks like player unconsciousness is basically being knocked down for a couple of minutes like NPCs. Thanks for the video, it cleared up some questions for me.
Yeah, the vanilla cattleprod's script is set just to do some damage to the player. I'm not entirely sure if it's possible to get back up from from being knocked out from fatigue damage, I'm gonna do some more testing on that.
Your stunrod works nicely, but the damage seems a tad over the top, I was able to 1 hit KO Gojira with this (that 8000 health fire gecko.)
Edit: Okay, I did some testery and you CAN indeed get back up from being KO'd by fatigue damage. According to the wiki it takes about 30 seconds to get back up (fatigue sets to -30 when it goes below 0 and regens at +1 per second) and I did get up after a small bit but I wasn't counting unfortunately.
In Peace Walker, it specifies that the Stun Rod delivers 1.5 million volts of electricity onto the target. I'm no scientist but that seems like a lot of electricity for a living being to take and it seems like it should KO almost any living creature.
A great one ! But maybe you could use the Compliance Regulator's (Honest Hearts required) script, since this gun has a chance to paralyse its victim; you could do some editing in order to make sure the stun rod paralyses with every hit. Fatigue is okay I guess, and I don't know if you can apply a laser pistol effect on a melee weapon, but it's just my opinion. Keep up the good MGS stuff !
Thanks! I'm not too sure about that laser weapon effect either as I barely know how to do basic scripts. As for The Fears crossbows, I had thoughts about doing them but I'm unsure about how to go about making them.
Well I admit that the bowgun would be difficult to create, though I saw some mods that add rusted/wood crossbows to the Mojave Wasteland ; so maybe by asking gently then changing the textures... Ha ha ha ! Anyway, I'll look forward to your next weapon/armor !
There's a compliance regulator overhaul mod somewhere on here that does just that - causes every hit to paralyze. Just thought I'd mention it, nice mod! :]
I don't know the reference you based this off of, but that much electricity would probably stop the heart of an elephant. Some non-lethal weapon! n.nU
Also, this should be fun to try out, since I use an energy shield mod that's distributed to the leveled lists, and I should be about to inflict enough fatigue damage to knock them out without having to drop their shields first with this haha!

P.S. : Have you already done The Fear's bowgun ?
