This is just a small mod I made for myself that adds a Modified Assault Carbine to FNV. I gave it a camo texture, made it shoot 5.56, and adjusted some stats to balance it out. Note that this isn't a replacer or retexture of all assault carbines, it's just one gun. It is wielded by a guy who hates you behind the Goodsprings gas station. Why does he hate you? Beats me, go ask him.

When you defeat him there will be a locked box behind the gas station with the gun mods in it and he'll have the gun on him. Be carful he's tough.

Installation:
You just have to drop the data folder into the game folder for manual install. Mod manager should work too.

So this should be working now. If for some reason it's not please let me know and I'll fix it. You shouldn't need to download the Weapon Mods file in order for it to work all you need is the main file.
