About this mod

Adds some varieties of tea to quench your thirst. Also tea biscuits!

Permissions and credits

This is a quick mod, requiring no DLC, that I worked on today instead of going to sleep. After I read that Honest Hearts adds black coffee to the game, I was really excited. I love coffee, and I also love tea, but after checking the Nexus I couldn't find any tea mods, so here is my slapdash attempt.

Please, don't come complaining that this may not be lore-friendly, that tea makes you thirsty, or whatnot. I remember reading somewhere that drinking tea is a good idea if the temperature is hot, and the desert fits that for sure. That's my excuse and I'm stickin' to it.

Anyway, I made these cheap teas restore some thirst, a bit of hunger, and fortify a skill for 5 minutes. I made two recipes for each with no skill requirements (ain't rocket science to just boil stuff...), with purified or dirty water, so you can use whichever you have on hand - there is no difference. Besides the obvious ingredient for each tea, you will need a regular coffee mug, which will be returned to you after you drink. For some reason, the mugs only appear in your inventory if you exit the Pipboy and then bring it back up. No idea of what that's about.

The biscuits require water (again, either purified or dirty), flour, and a packet of sugar bombs. They satisfy a bit of hunger instead of thirst. Since you use a whole packet of flour, you'll get 10 biscuits every time.

The iced tea is unique in the fact that requires a glass instead. It uses the regular mutfruit (hence the "soft") instead of the crunchy variant. It will quench thirst more than the regular teas.

Here is a handy list of the items included:

- Yucca Tea (increases damage resistance)
- Prickly Pear Tea (increases critical chance)
- Broc Flower Tea (increases damage threshold)
- Buffalo Gourd Tea (increases carry weight)
- Honey Mesquite Tea (increases endurance)
- Agave Tea (increases charisma)
- White Horsenettle Tea (increases action points)
- Soft Mutfruit & Barrel Cactus Iced Tea (increases melee damage)
- Tea Biscuits (increase agility)

If you want to get some RIGHT NOW, here are the ID codes. Replace the black box with the two digits of the mod's load order.

I added these to the FoodDrinkNoLiquor75 and FoodDrinkNoLiquor100 leveled lists so they can be sold by merchants - I am not using any mods that edit those two, so I can't really check for conflicts, but when in doubt, place the mod as low as you can in your load order to see if they appear.

To install, extract the contents of your downloaded file to your "Steam/SteamApps/Common/Fallout New Vegas/Data" folder. Then activate the mod through your preferred launcher by ticking the checkbox next to the esp. Or you can use the Mod Manager to download the mod automatically. To uninstall, simply delete the files.

That's about it. Have fun!
