Hello everybody, and welcome to my first mod for Fallout New Vegas! The file has been cleaned with FNVEdit, does not require any DLC, and has no scripts, so it should be safe for everybody to use. Still, you should always make a backup save before installing ANY mod, in case something goes wrong.

As I always do when it comes to Bethesda games, my first foray into modding was all about making a house for my character. In this particular case, however, I wanted to kill two birds with one stone and also get around to porting some of my clutter items from Fallout 3.

Since I haven't even started playing New Vegas yet (gasp!) I figured it would be best to play it safe and place all of the new items in one cell. So, here we are. I also did not know where I could put the new house to avoid conflicts and spoilers for myself, so after some poking around, I came across Ragingmoon46's fine Refurbished House, which was about the size I wanted, and in a nice location north of the Hunter's Farm. As Ragingmoon46 gave permission to edit the file as long as credit was given, I set up to work.

The house is fully navmeshed on the inside, although I didn't touch the outside navmesh for compatibility reasons. I guess you could argue the house is somewhat overpowered, or maybe just too cramped and full of stuff - I felt Ragingmoon46's house was a bit too big (I am crazy), so I made it a bit smaller, added a workbench, infirmary and laboratory, plenty of storage, a bed, and a nice garden with plants to sit and relax after a tough day. It comes with an enabled map marker, so feel free to simply waltz in. There are some potted plants and books around, as that's the kind of thing I like to put in my houses. I apologize if someone out there disapproves.

Here are the items I brought over from Fallout 3. Again, all of them are either simple decorative clutter, or food that I will NOT make compatible with needs mods.

From Decorative Items:
- Hygiene supplies: shampoo, soap, toilet paper, towels, personal care set, washing rag and toothpaste.
- Sewing kit and knitting set.
- Three books: Hitchkiker's Guide to Washington, D.C., "You're SPECIAL!", and "Computers for Everybody".
- Nuka-Cola paperweight.
- Jars of metal and leather polish.
- Rubik's cube.
- Edible box of chocolates.

And from Bau Pet Supplies:
- Edible dog kibble and canned cat food.
- "Wild Animal Pets" and "Pets..." Little Wonder book.
- Washington yellow pages.

I didn't get to port a couple of things because the modder's resources I used were available only for Fallout 3. I adapted some of the textures to meshes available in New Vegas to compensate, but a few items (such as the tabletop mirror from Decorative Objects, and the chew toy and Abraxo truck from Bau Pet Supplies) will have to stay on FO3 for the time being. As I mostly used vanilla meshes and used texture sets to make the download smaller, the new items may look weird if you are using mesh replacements for clutter.

I also included a repaired version of the glass cabinet, as, again, there was one for Fallout 3, but it was not possible to bring it over to New Vegas.

Whew, that's a lot of rambling for just a bit of clutter, isn't it? To install, extract the contents of your downloaded file to your "Steam/SteamApps/Common/Fallout New Vegas/Data" folder. Then activate the mod through your preferred launcher by ticking the checkbox next to the esp. Or you can use the Mod Manager to download the mod automatically. To uninstall, simply delete the files, and you're good to go.

The items I ported over can be considered modder's resources. You can use them in your mods as long as proper credit is given.

Now, for the credits. To shorten the list, below are the New Vegas modder's resources I used. For a complete list of all credits check the "Permissions and Credits" tab.
