Only the older v3 version has a mod, which is the red dot sight, which you have to install manually.  It's in the same duffel bag as the rifle inside of Nipton Road rest stop's building interior.

v3 is the best "Plug and Play" assault rifle mod I've found so far.  Decent looking without being lore breaking, good enough red dot sight, and not too little or too much damage.  Basically like a full auto service rifle. This is just what I was looking for, endorsed!

I recommend v3 over v4, honestly.  Easy to find in the world, and it has a red dot.  Strangely, v4 seems like a downgrade.  It crashed for me the first time I tried to equip it, but when I reloaded and tried again, it was fine, and then fine every other time afterwards.

I love the fact that someone added the Howa Type 89 rifle to this game. A lot of people don't know about it or how it was based off the revolutionary (although no one knew it at the time) AR-18's short stroke piston, which nowadays every new modern firearm uses.  The HK-416 being the most notable example.

Love the gun, happy it is on Nexus for FNV.
Did not know it was a japanese gun though, thought it was a russian gun. Good job!

Great gun! Probably the best AR on the NV Nexus. Here's some info to help you guys save time.

The v4a version is more reflective and generally prettier than than the v3 old version. However, it comes with some trade offs. There is no dufflebag at the rest stop, no scope mod for it, and it's not added to the world, just to vendor lists. Item ID: xx000ade.

Example: Open console, type: player.additem xx000ade 1 (xx refers to the load order number, which can be effortlessly found in the "plugins" tab of your Nexus Mod manager.)

Have fun and thanks to Michau2 for giving Japanese guns some much needed love.

    V4a has a misaligned ironsight.
I uploaded the second picture because I had wrongly assumed it to be modifyable.

I have been searching for an assault rifle on Nexus for a long time now, every one I have tried out has never really felt right... Finally I can stop searching, because this rifle is perfection.
One thing though, I looked in the geck and it says the rifle has not been placed anywhere, so I had to place it in the game myself.
