About this mod

Makes all non-faction power armors only wearable by those who have the required training: Veronica and Arcade. Other companions will drop all power armor when given to equip with the message that they are unable to use such armors.

Permissions and credits
All humanoid/ghoul companions in Fallout New Vegas are able to use power armor, even if they had no power armor training - unlike the player who does need training to wear these armors.

This .esp aims to change that. Only Veronica and Arcade, the only two companions with power armor training (according to J.E. Sawyer's mod), are able to use power armor with this mod. Other companions will simply drop the equipment on the floor as they would with faction armors.

Note: there are two types of this mod uploaded. One makes non-faction power armors only wearable by Veronica and Arcade. The other file does the same with the addition of the Remnants armors only being usable by Arcade (Veronica will see these armors as Enclave faction armor and drop them). To clarify: this does not make Remnants armor actual faction armor!
UPDATE: for the Scorched Sierra power armor added in the Lonesome Road DLC extra files have been uploaded. See the download page.

Pick one and drop the .esp in the data folder. Check the file in the launcher and you should be good to go.

Lonesome Road DLC ONLY required for those .esps that add the Sierra power armor to the list.

Update 1.1:

As suggested by a friend, any companion without the required training will now drop power armor with the message that they are unable to use such equipment - regardless if it is faction armor or not. This makes it clear to the player that even non-faction power armor can not be equipped by such companions.

In the previous version, when faction related power armor was given to companions other than Veronica or Arcade, he/she would drop the armor with the standard message of not being able to wear that faction armor. This could suggest they would be able to wear non-faction power armors for some players. In short, this update made the corner messages a lot clearer.

ADDED:
Support for the Scorched Sierra power armor added by the Lonesome Road DLC. Optional version will again make companions view this as a faction armor (NCR) which means Arcade and Veronica will not equip it.
