After a bit of research, I found out the reason why these become impossible to select and move after being placed in the GECK. It's
because the root node is a NiNode, rather than a BSFadeNode. It's really
easy to fix - open the nif in Nifskope, right-click on the root node
(the one at the top right under the NiHeader, it has an index of 0),
select "Block", then "Convert". Then choose "Bethesda", and
"BsFadeNode". Then save. Works like a charm. Thanks again for these! "
