About this mod

Re-textures the Pip-Boy 3000 to look like the Pip-Buck from Fallout: Equestria.

Permissions and credits
"If I’m going to tell you about the adventure of my life -- explain how I got to this place with these people, and why I did what I’m going to do next
-- I should probably start by explaining a little bit about PipBucks.

What is a PipBuck? A PipBuck is a device, worn on a foreleg just above the hoof, issued to every pony in a Stable when they become old enough to start work. A blending of unicorn pony magic and science, your PipBuck will keep a constant measure of your health and even help administer healing poultices and other medicine, track and organize everything in your saddlepacks, assist in repairs, and keep all manner of notes and maps available at a hooftap. Plus, it allows you to listen to the Stable broadcast whenever you would like as it can tune into and decrypt just about any radio frequency. And that’s not all. A pony’s PipBuck generates an E.F.S. (Eyes-Forward Sparkle) that will indicate direction and help gauge whether the ponies or creatures around you are hostile. And, perhaps most impressively, a PipBuck can magically aid you in a fight for brief periods of time through use of the S.A.T.S. (Stable-Tec Arcane Targeting Spell). Oh, and a feature not to be forgotten: it can keep track of the location of tagged objects or people, including the wearers of other PipBucks. So if a pony somehow got lost -- don’t ask me how you could get lost in a Stable, but it does happen on occasion -- then anypony who knew the lost pony’s tag could find them instantly.

It can even be made to glow like a lamp.

So yes, PipBucks really are a testament to unicorn pony arcane science. And yes, having a PipBuck is a big advantage. So with how wonderful and miraculous all that just sounded, it’s hard to impress upon ponies who never lived in a Stable just how ordinary, how pedestrian, a PipBuck was in the eyes of the ponies living in Stable Two.And why I was disappointed to have one as my cutie mark."

- Littlepip, Fallout: Equestria (Prologue)

Salutations, thank you for taking a peek at my little mod. This re-textures the Pip-Boy 3000 to look like the Pip-Buck from the popular My Little Pony/Fallout fanfiction, Fallout: Equestria, by the beautiful Kkat.

What's changed?:

The radiation meter is now a rainbow. Now you can be happy as your radiation levels rise through the different colors. Pretty. And, the lettering has been changed so your device now reads "Pip-Buck" instead of "Pip-Boy".

Known bugs:

For some reason, this took a couple of start-ups for it to work for me. This may or may not happen for others. If the texture does not update, double-check it is in the right folder. If it is, and still does not update, be patient. If the texture still refuses to change, I will be glad to give assistance. Also, you can still see "oy" underneath the "ck" sometimes. I do not know how to fix this, but if anyone could help, it would be much appreciated.

Wait, you don't like ponies?!:

Suck it up and move on. I'm not screaming at you to download or even look at my mod. Go on and play with your porno mods, I'll play with my pony.

What I have planned:

Ponified Vault Boy, better lettering, an optional file for Velvet Remedy's custom Pip-Buck, maybe change V.A.T.S. to S.A.T.S. and the like.

Have any questions or concerns? Shoot me a message, and I'll be glad to help any way I can. I may also be interested in custom Pip-Buck textures by request.

Install:

1. BACK UP THE ORIGINAL FILES!! This is a replacer mod, and you will lose your original textures unless you save them somewhere safe.

2. Drag and drop the "textures" folder from the "Pip-Buck 3000" folder into the "Data" folder, usually found in Program files (x86)/Steam/Steamapps/Common/Fallout New Vegas/Data

3. Allow any overwrite

4. Enjoy the post-apocalyptic pony goodness.

Uninstall:

1. Drag and drop the original files back into the "texture" folder

2. Allow overwrite

3. Enjoy no more post-apocalyptic pony goodness

Forget to back up your files? Never fear!

Emergency uninstall:

1. Open up Fallout- Textures2.bsa in FOMM

2. Extract into "textures" folder

3. Allow overwrites for anything named "pipboy"

Warning!! Emergency uninstall WILL overwrite any other re-textures located in the "pipboy3000" folder, so you best back up your files beforehand.

Requirements:

None.

Conflictions:

Any other mods that change the Pip-Boy's texture.

This is my first mod, and I hope to make many more, pony or not. Please enjoy.
