TURN ARCHIVE INVALIDATION OFF THEN ON AGAIN.
READ THE FAQ IN THE DESCRIPTION AND ALSO READ BUG REPORTING BELOW BEFORE REPORTING ANY PROBLEMS

    Bug Reporting

If you are going to report a bug, first make sure you have toggled Archive Invalidation off then on and read the whole description. If your error still occurs post your bug report in a way that means I can actually help e.g. -

The id of the NPC if it's a bug with an NPC (open console and click the NPC and note NPC id at the top.)

If it is a problem with your character let me know the race you are using.

Screenshots are required if it is a visual bug and you want me to help. Please also be as descriptive as possible, if you aren't then again I can't help you and you won't get a response.

PLEASE READ THE ABOVE AND THE DESCRIPTION

If you post about seams (without following the installation instructions), asking me to make a compatibility patch for hair mods, or about white faces and black bodies, or just comments that are covered in the description they will be deleted (I'd rather spend my time working on the mod then answering questions that I have already answered).

Also if you guys have any suggestions for what you would like to see more of or something new from this mod please comment and let me know!

I do not have time to support this mod currently, feel free for anyone to release any bugfix patches for the mod. You can find one created by lunarionsilver here.

Disclaimer: The installation process is bugged, regardless of not selecting a companion mod change option, the mod still installs the Russell companion .esp file and for some reason the bloody .esm file is missing. That .esp file needs to deleted unless you have the required .esp files to make it run or the game will crash. And the uploader's disclaimer hidden in the comment section is appalling. The mod fix he referred apparently worked (i mean all does is add the .esm as far as i'm concerned) I traveled through the abyss to discover that, hope i save someone the time I lost trying to get this awesome mod to work. Can't let the +47k endorsers have all the fun while people like me are stuck in limbo, dying to not dare do another playthrough staring at the same playdoe faces.

You can simply uncheck Russel.esp in mod load order menu.

Strange...I didnĀ“t encounter that, but whta is weird: if I enable the "sweat" option, the installer puts a file called "FCO-sweat" in my data folder...without any extention, so I had to rename it to "FCO-sweat.esp"..... ??

I kinda have to know, does this mod work with NMCs Texture Pack? when I install both of the mods it wanted me to overwrite some of the NMCs files and im not sure if they actually work together or not

Okay installed this before I read any of the forums. And of course I got the bald bug. Decided just to deactivate the mod and use different ones, but the changes were permanent. Since I had not started the playthrough I just uninstalled all mods, no joy, then I reinstalled the game completely, no joy, deleted all NV related files and directories in App Data, no joy.

Where in the hell is this hidden data that still exists after a clean game install?

    Any thoughts?

EDIT: Well seeing the AMD post I did more digging and found this.

Install dxvk-2.3 from github then install Nvidia d3d9 perf fix from Nexus.

This fixed the hair bug for me, not sure if I am going to attempt to reinstall FCO with this fix, I might as I am a glutton for punishment, if I do I will let you know.

EDIT 2: Well with the above fixes and with FOC Last Edits as well as FOC bugfixes installed along with FOC everything seems to be working fine.

      Hello, everything ok?
I have the same problem, all the characters are bald. I'm not able to solve this problem, I was curious about the way you fixed it.
Can you explain better the method you used?

      please put the links

Hello! It's my first time modding FNV. I've always played this game in PS3, so I don't have much experience.

I'm trying to make this mod work. I use Vortex. I'm using Delilah and Willow mods as well. I have the required mods to run this one, which are UIO and NVSE. I have the DLCs. My game runs perfectly fine, but the mod doesn't work (of course, I've been trying many things and each attempt I created a new save, I haven't been using the same pre loaded save). I've read something related to "toggle archive invalidation off and on", which I can't find because I'm using Vortex, not NMM, but I suppose that's not the issue.

Since I don't have much experience, I don't really know what to add so anyone can help me. I'll add a screenshot of my mods, maybe it will help. Thank you!

NMM is vortex to the best of my knowledge. To get to the archive invalidation screen go into the settings tab just above the mods tab and its right there.

Hey, definitely listen to the other comment here but also it seems you are missing the 3.01 update. One you have that also check that the FCO-Russell.esp is disabled

dude screw this mod, i installed on a completely fresh install of the game with no previous mods, walk 2 steps down the street and easy pete is pink. i have not changed any of the settings or code, this mod is just broken. and now because it edits race data i'm having to do a completely fresh reinstall of the game because the characters are still broken after removing the damn mod.

Anyway to fix all the NPCs being bald? I see some ppl saying its an AMD graphics card issue? Any way to get a fix for that going or a workaround?

Don't do that, that is dumb. Honest, this mod looks great, but has so many damn issues half the time it isn't as worth it as it used to be. Lots of people will not recommend it, it is dated now as well. Over 10 years old and there sadly isn't a lot of better alternatives. Christ they have the best ghoul and half ghoul textures out there... Actually there are the only ones out there.

Soo i Tried to use this but had to scrap it.
Mod was randomly decideing that my char wasn't allowed eyebrows, and when it did if i drew my weapon it would throw me underground untill i put my wep away....
checked my logs always eyebrow errors, removed this and both the problem and errors went away.

It is 2024 and this mod still works fine, just gotta know what you're doing. I started a New Vegas installation from scratch then slapped this on a day ago without issues. FCO Bugfixes is mandatory, FCO The Last Few Edits not mandatory but highly recommended. Archive Invalidation checked on is mandatory! Pay attention to MISSING MASTERS. If you have FCO - Russell.esp checked on, but lack the Russell companion mod it relies on, you are going to crash 100% of the time because it's missing a mandatory dependency, the master file. Hence, missing masters issue. I don't know if NMM or Vortex tells you, but Mod Organizer 2 warns you when you're missing a master.

    Another tip? Use LOOT.

And no, it's not seamless. There's no texture/body mod that'll make FCO seamless. The closest you can get is enhanced vanilla textures. But I don't play New Vegas like I play Baldur's Gate 3 or Skyrim (2-4K original character photo simulator), so I don't mind the seams at all.

Posting my load order to help others in their troubleshooting.

(That Arcade.esp is from FCO Companions Remix V2. Again not mandatory but highly recommended, Arcade looks very cute.)
