Caesar has ordered for a more direct route to Nelson from Cottonwood Cove after losing too many Legionaries to Novac's snipers and NCR patrols along the 95, so Legion engineers have been busy building a way up the Cove's North cliffside. Although the engineers brought back rumors of dangerous wildlife at the top, veteran Legionaries at the camp say the engineers probably wouldn't know the difference between a Gecko and a Deathclaw if it bit off their head.

This mod adds a series of ramps and bridges to the cliffside North of Cottonwood Cove to allow climbing to the area South of Nelson, which normally requires travel through Ranger Station Echo or a long trip up the 95 and around to Nelson. The new passage has been fully navmeshed, so feel free to bring your followers, and be aware that you are not safe from being chased by enemies.

I've tested the navmesh quite a bit, and am confident there aren't any places that the AI will get stuck (one minor exception, read on) as long as there aren't too many NPCs too close together, even though passage is narrow in places. There is one spot at the top just past the warning sign that's a little tricky for the AI to go up, but there isn't much I can do about it due to the shape of the terrain. Just moving onward almost always causes the AI to find another path if it does get caught there. Going down is solid (that's what she said!). If you run into any other problems with pathing PLEASE let me know!

This mod does not add any new NPCs or monster spawns. There are no Deathclaws at the top, despite what the sign says, unless you use a different mod that adds them. The only monsters up there in the Vanilla game are some Fire Geckos. Those engineers need to get out more...

As far as I know, no other mod touches this part of the worldspace, so there shouldn't be any conflicts, even with mods that change things at Cottonwood Cove. I don't use any of those mods, however, so if you do run into a conflict, please let me know.
