This mod (and the rest of my mods) are now back up.
I hope that you could understand my position on paid for mods and my decision to take this down until such a time they were gone. I don't feel that paid mods would be gone by now if what I and other mods did happened.
Better Game Performance will always be free, and I'll always be free to take criticism, not lock this thread if people disagree with me.
Heck, shows how long I've been out of the scene, last time I was around I knew there was talk of paid mods, this is something I don't agree with, kudos to you and all others who stood their ground.
But see, taking the mod down in protest of paid mods doesn't hurt the guys making the decisions, it hurts the users who had nothing to do with the decision.
I don't agree with paid mods either, but I'm not gonna take my mods down to protest it because it's not gonna make a huge difference in the fight. It's just gonna make the users suffer.
I was getting massive fps drops in certain areas, notably the villa in Dead money and the dry lakes in the Mojave. After some playing around I found this mod to be the cause of it. I'd stay away if I were you. YMMV.
@bp42s You actually have 0 clue. I know you think you know what you're talking about because you see it commented on every mod, but its just not true lmao.
FYI mod deletes a bunch of stuff thats already initially disabled I can't imagine theres much of a performance boost. Deleting is a CTD risk so people are better off grabbing Performance Of The Gods. If anything references the deleted items your game will crash!
This helped me alot. I see many people saying it doesnt work or that save game gets corrupted, well, thats bullshit. In my case, on my older PC, 2 gig ram, 1 gig old nvidia graphic card, dual core amd, windows xp, it is great help, no more lag in heavy places and ages to open a fucking crate, fights are smoother, even in modded stuff where i would enter areas from "a world of pain" or other new places where it would in some cases lag alot, and when ton of enemies are attacking, now it is a lot smoother. Thank you so much for making this.
I downloaded this mod and I REALLY THINK IT'S WORKING. The game seems to move a little faster and there is less lag I think. Really good way to optimize my game. I loaded up my auto save the next day, but it soft-locked on the load screen. So than I tried the quick save and it got stuck on the same loading screen. Tried loading a save 10 times before i decided to start deactivating mods one at a time. Literally, this was the second mod I deactivated and it stopped soft-locking after that. If these post are anything to go by, this Mod is like playing Russian Roulette if "THE GAME" was written on each bullet and the gun was loaded with one empty cylinder. It added more issues to the game besides the crashing. I Never had issues with falling through the ground when loading a save, cause my game wouldn't even load. My game crashed less without this mod. The Mod author is arrogant and won't look into any issues with his mod. How Do I down vote? Four version later and this Mod does the opposite of it's job.
The problem you are having with loading a save file is almost certainly not a problem caused by this mod. It is a problem with Fallout: New Vegas itself.
For some reason, the game goes into an eternal loading screen loop once you try to load or continue a saved game after having progressed quite a bit into the game. Good news, there is a simple work-around. Keep a save file -- not an auto or quick save file as those are repeatedly overwritten -- from very early in the game. I like to save after finishing my typically unsatisfactory character appearance edits in Doc Mitchell's clinic and before using the Vigor-Tester so I can try new game play starts without bothering with appearance. However, any save made during your early adventures in Goodsprings or Primm should do. In fact, any save file you can successfully load after launching the game will get you started. Then, always begin by loading that old, working save file. Once the save file loads, hit the escape (ESC) key and then load your most recent save file to continue playing from where you left off. An extra step, but one that has always worked for me.
TL;DR Always load an old working save file and then load your most recent save file in order to avoid the eternal loading screen problem.
Yes, i had the same problem alot of this dead brains comment saying its the mod fault and probably didnt even downloaded the nvac or the 4gb patcher and this mod is a beautifull partner to use with both the nvac and 4gb patcher, as also the tick fix, it helps fps drops (at least in the open world) and enabled me to use a enb without getting my fps dropped to less than 30 (im using a 2,0gh i3 and an gt 580, so trust me this mod is incredibly usefull because with enb i had 17-25 fps and now i have 30-38.)
i dont know why people endorse this mod, it just delete unused thing, you still get fps drop in interior because bthesda engine was supose to be like that, increasing of draw call count was the main reason why this game has unstable fps for certain places such as bison steve interior level 3, the strips, if u r enb user, you can check profiler and see the amount of draw call count happen to be 7k up to 10k, so fps will drop, this is also happened as boston area FALLOUT 4
There will be no V6 unless falloutperson comes back in the FNV modding scene. I didn't create the mod, only uploaded it with their permission and did a fairly simple edit to it to fix a fairly major issue.
So what does this mod even do? If the things it deletes are unused, then what is the point in deleting them? Are the things it's deleting even loaded into the game's memory? Assuming this mod does actually improve performance, it could still lead to instability if another mod comes along and needs those references that this one deletes.
