About this mod

Marks the Stealth Suit MK II as Light armor rather than Medium armor, making it better suited for sneaking. Changes no other stats. Compatible with existing bugfixes.

Permissions and credits
Y'know what drives me nuts? Things that don't live up to their name. Case in point, the Stealth Suit MK II. Yeah, it provides a sneak bonus. Yeah, it boosts some sneak related stats. It even provides a movement speed bonus. Unfortunately, most of that is undone by the damnable fact that the armor is classified as Medium rather than Light. All of those bonuses to sneak stop mattering as much when the amount of sound you produce is just that much higher.

This mod fixes that in the most simple way possible: it marks the armor as Light rather than Medium, and changes the associated audio template accordingly. It makes no other stat changes, so the armor still has the same weight and DT rating as before. This DOES make it the second-heaviest Light armor in the game, behind NCR Trooper Fatigues, but given that there is something heavier it's not unjustifiable.

NOTES

Because this mod only touches the armor's actual stats, rather than any of its associated armor effects, perks, or scripts, it is fully compatible with several other commonly used Stealth Suit MKII mods and bugfixes. In particular, LFox's OWB Stealth Suit Bug Fixes and Daftcnut's Stealth Suit MK II Speed Fix are both compatible, with no merging required. Any mods which just alter the armor's effects, such as the Invisibility portion of Vastias' OWBs Stealth Suit MK II Retexture and Upgrade, will also work with no merging required.

Because of the way the Stealth Suit MK II interacts with perks like Travel Light and Tunnel Runner I was forced to make two separate versions of this mod, one requiring NVSE, and one not. Those perks check equipped armor against a specific list, and the Stealth Suit MK II is added to that list by the game via a script function. The GECK includes functions to ADD to lists, but not to REMOVE from lists (brilliant, eh?). NVSE has a simple "remove from list" function which fixes the problem, but for those of you who aren't running NVSE I have created an additional version which modifies the perks instead. That version of the mod requires the Dead Money and Lonesome Road add-ons in addition to Old World Blues. I have made that the default download for this mod, but if you are already running NVSE I strongly recommend the NVSE version, since it is simpler and more compatible with other mods.
