    Sticky
Just to be sure that this is mentioned:

If you experience stuttering because of enormous graphical settings or just because the New Vegas engine has the lust to stutter *rolleyes* the playback can stutter too since it is an ingame feature which depend on the game engine.

      Ehm... No.
That's why one is the main file and the other optional.

It's just how you want to prefer to play.
A random play or a play in one row.

Also you've to choose the ESP with the right amount of songs you want to use.
V10 is only in the main file when V20 to V100 are in both files.

I cant found a fix for it
Edit: Found a fix, go on the Nexus folder that have the mods, open Couriers radio station.rar file, open the folder IN THE RAR that has the version of music you want, copy the esm to ????\Fallout New Vegas\Data, then enable it on nexus mod manager, this worked for me. \o

my preferred method is by using an outdated version of VLC media player and doing a youtube to mp3 thing with the build in vlc thing, its a bit difficult at first but there are thousands of guides on how to.

late but yes, you just need to rename the ESM, rename the folder countaining the sound files, and then use FNVEdit to edit the paths of the audio tracks to match the new sound folder

Does anyone understand how the topic groupings work with this mod? I wanted to increase the max amount of songs and have a normal randomize (instead of breaking into 10 lists of 10 for 100 as described on the main page).

But I look in Geck at the 90-song version hoping to just add on to that, but it is also divided into smaller lists (topics) of 10. I suspect this will also just move through the playlists (9 instead of 10 in this case) instead of randomizing all of the songs together.

Does anyone have insight into that or know of a radio mod that will be easier to customize the way I want without the need to undo all of these separate "playlists"? I don't like the one that just hijacks the main radio, either.

Edit: Nevermind, I found discussin elsewhere that indicates the radio doesn't work right if not broken into topics. Now I'm on trying to get it to play from jukeboxes correctly (created mono files but not sure where to put them or make sure they're activated appropriately).

Hey uh?  I'm having some issues getting this working.  I followed all the instructions, made sure they're all named appropriately and all in the right place.  But for some reason whenever I go in the game and look into my pipboy the Courier's Radio doesn't appear as an option in my radio listings.  I'm using 100 Song version.

A bit late but open the archive the mod comes in and find all of the versions like 10 songs and so on. Go into the folder you want and drag it's esm out. Then put it in the data folder where you have your custom music.

Your mod loader/manager/organiser/whatever should find it and you should be able to enable it.

For players looking for an alternate way to make their mp3s compatible with this mod:

Use Goldwave instead: https://www.goldwave.com/release.php to use batch process to quickly convert your mp3s in one sitting.
There's an option there somewhere for it, just look for it and its easier to use IMO. You can convert all the mp3s to 128kb bitrate with mono setting, and also reduce volume to half (because chances are your mp3 files are twice/thrice louder than the ingame music files. There''s also to remove mp3 tags there such as the artist, title, album arts, to even further reduce file size.

Last, rename the files using Renamer: https://renamer.en.softonic.com/
To quickly rename all the files numerically (1,2,3, etc)
Use the delete option to delete all the characters and the serialize option to set names from 1 to 100, etc.

Uh... figuring out how to use these two programs can be a challenge but it's worth the time, I assure.
It's hard to explain it though, haha. Sorry.

Thanks a lot, stranger ! I was having an issue where the mp3 i was using were having a weird bug. The songs would repeat themselves halfway through, then repeat themselves again halfway through the other half and this kept happening until the song ran out. I thought it had something to do with the mp3 format not being correct, despite following the instructions to the letter. But i used your software and converted them to precisely 128kb bitrate and mono setting, and it works ! I had to figure out how to use goldwave, but it was worth it ! I now have 100 custom songs on my Courier's Radio !

I got a request; can you make a 200 songs option or is that not possible for the engine? I was thinking of Porting Fallout 4's Old World Tunes since I managed to find a way to extract the XWM files and convert them to WaV then Mp3! Thing is that OWT has a list of 199 tracks which is great since it also includes radio host talk and advertisements. If its not possible then its a shame, but I understand.

Still thanks for making a mod like that! Really cool to have a way to play new songs in a playlist!

EDIT: NVM just saw the account is closed. Shame.
Still if anyone knows how this all works would be pretty neat to make a file for it.

The randomizer seems kind of out of whack on this

My very first experience with this (the 20 song pack) had it go Song 1, 2, 1 again, 2 again, 3, 4, 3 again.

Also despite following instructions after about an hour I just got dead air despite filling up all 20 slots This was actually a mistake on my part, apparently when the renamer failed to change one song to 1.mp3 and I had to do it myself, it apparently also forgot to create 13.mp3, jumping straight to 14
