COMPANIONS ASSEMBLE!!!
This mod was originally developed as a companion recovery tool for calling lost Companions back to your location if they ever managed to go missing. It has since evolved into a companion communications overhaul mod that simplifies and streamlines interactions with the six, vanilla, humanoid companions.

UPDATE: As of 2/28/2020, a Tale of Two Wastelands version has been released that updates the existing terminals to also include companions from the Capital Wasteland! Now you can call, recover and retrieve your companions from either Wasteland!

What This Mod Does

The Vanilla version updates the Companion Dismissal Terminals into Companion Communications Terminals, that will allow you to contact one, ALL, or any combination of the humanoid companions to meet you in several locations across the Mojave Wasteland instead of you needing to travel to them.

To preserve a sense of immersion and game play, I decided against developing a mod that simply "teleports" your companions straight to you in an instant. With this mod, you will have to use a series of terminals placed around the Wasteland to contact your companions, and have them meet you at your current location in a few moments. Once your call to your companion has been placed, they will come running up to greet you from a distance, as if having traveled to your location on foot!

In addition to the standard Terminals found at the Gun Runners and inside the Lucky 38, you will also find additional Terminals in frequently visited locations across the Wasteland. There is one in Goodsprings between the Saloon and Chet's store, one in Novac in the center of town, one in Primm on the wall of the Vikki And Vance Casino, and one on the back of the Hoover Dam monument, directly across from the main doors.

For TTW PLAYERS: There is one located inside Moira Brown's shop, Caterside Supply, in Megaton. There is one on the outside walls of Tenpenny Tower, near the main gate. There is one located on the Rivet City ramps. And finally, there is one located at the outside entrance to the Museum of Natural History. I placed the terminals in locations where players might frequently travel to trade with merchants, for the easy supplying and inventory management of companions on the go!

Simply use the Terminal to contact any combination of companions that you want to see, and within moments they will come running up to you! This way, you can hire, retrieve, or use the services of any combination of companions from one convenient location, instead of constantly traveling from one end of the Mojave to the next putting your squad together!

You can ONLY summon companions that you have previously spoken to! If you try to summon a companion that you've never spoken to face to face, you will simply get a message stating that they don't know you! Once you have spoken to a companion at least once, that person becomes a "potential recruit"! From then on, you can use the Communications Terminals to have that person meet you at a location of your choosing.

The Dialogue Enhanced Version also streamlines and enhances interactions between you and your companions, making it simpler to use their special abilities on the fly, or trade gear with them without going through the entire process of hiring and firing. This includes Quest related dialogue as well! Also, your conversations with your companions are now much less generic, and more specific to the companion you are talking to. Normal dialogue, as well as some quest related dialogue, is now more personal from companion to companion.

I also took the liberty of fixing some spelling errors that were left in Lily's dialogue, as well as added a "wait" option to Cass's top level dialogue, for people who sometimes prefer to speak to their companions one on one instead of always using the companion wheel.

CALL YOUR COMPANIONS TO YOU! Assemble a combat unit, and never lose another companion again!

The Dialogue Enhanced Version allows you to use your companions' special abilities on the fly, without needing to hire or fire them first. Veronica and Raul will now be able to meet you at any location that contains a Companion Communcations Terminal, and craft items or fix your gear. In addition, if you are carrying TWO Weapon Repair Kits, Raul now has the ability to use the various items contained in those kits to repair your gear, and doesn't always need to be at his shack!

Also, the companions are now more animated and lively, and will have more things to say about how you interact with them!

*NOTE: This mod does NOT change the way your companions look!

Use services on the fly!

COMPANIONS ASSEMBLE!!!

INSTALLATION

This mod is also intended as a utility for Unlimited Companions Mods!!! While it does not require any additional mods to work on it's own, using any unlimited companions mods will greatly enhance the effect of Companions Assemble for obvious reasons! And visa versa.

To Install, simply drop the Companions Assemble version of your choice into your Fallout New Vegas Data directory.

In your Load Order, place Companions Assemble DIRECTLY BELOW any other Unlimited Companions mod. My Unlimited Companions mod of choice happens to be HJLCompanions Version 103.

Therefore, your load order should look something like this:

[Any Random Mod Here].ESP
[HJLCompanions103 / Any Unlimited Companion of your choice here].ESP
[Companions Assemble! Dialogue Enhanced!].ESP
[Any Random Mod Here].ESP

UNINSTALLATION / DEINSTALLATION

Simply remove the Companions Assemble.ESP from your Data directory. It is possible to upgrade and downgrade between the two separate versions at will, with no consequences. If you are using the Vanilla version, and want to try out Dialogue Enhanced, simply replace the Vanilla version with the Dialogue Enhanced version in your Data directory!

Similarly, if you don't like the Dialogue Enhanced version for some reason, you can also remove it and replace it with the Vanilla version at any time. Just be aware that the enhanced dialogue choices and animations are ONLY available with the Dialogue Enhanced version. The Vanilla version changes the terminals only!

Thank you for trying out my mod! :) Feel free to leave a comment!

MODS THAT WORK WELL WITH COMPANIONS ASSEMBLE!

My Unlimited Companion mod of choice: HJL's Unlimited Companions With Radios!

http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/37687

Most unlimited companion mods simply delete the dialogue choices that prevent you from taking on additional companions. HJL's mod goes the extra step of editing the companion's scripts to fix compatibility issues when hiring conflicting partners, as well as gives the player a set of radios that can be used to issue commands to any one or all companions at once! Very useful!

Unlimited Companions

http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/34870

Obviously, the standard, and probably most well known Unlimited Companions mod for New Vegas. Gets the job done.

Companion Sandbox Mode

http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/34955

When you tell your companions to wait, this mod adds a "wait package" to their AI so they will be more autonomous while waiting around. Simply place this mod directly BELOW Companions Assembled Dialogue Enhanced or Vanilla, and all dialogue options, as well the new animations from both mods flow smoothly into the conversations of all companions.
