As of update 1.14rc: 1. The mod no longer requires JIP Selective-Fire. 2. The mod is not compatible with JIP Selective-Fire version 0.91 (or earlier), and vice versa.
Bug Report: Hey, so when i install the mod Vortex is tossing up this error, with the title "Invalid Installer".
I am currently also using the newest versions of your Select-Fire mod, Improved Recipe Menu, and the NVSE Plugin. Do i need to install something else as well? Or as i suspect is this something that can be safely ignored and everything's fine anyways?
Anywho, thanks for the awesome mods man, and your continued support for said mods even 12 years after the game's initial release, it's really above and beyond what anyone could ever hope for from a modder, thank you.
While i haven't actually begun the quest in the mod yet, i played off and on during most of the day today and didn't encounter any bugs, crashes, or errors of any kind. So for now i'm gonna say, tentatively, that the error Vortex tossed (above) is totally safe to ignore; However, once i actually begin the questline of the mod, or perhaps once i finish it, i'll follow up and post another reply in case anyone else is having that error message and wondering if they can safely ignore it.
Awesome mod. Great story, great locations, atmosphere, etc. The .50AE to 12.7mm renaming is a bit of a bummer though. Without that this would have a permanent place in my load order. Nice work.
Update maybe? Tweak the gun models and animations to fit in with 2021 New Vegas, maybe get rid of the accessory kit and just have the guns use the normal three mod slots to stream line the whole thing.
This has been one of the more fun mods. Not particularly a fan of the house (UHNV caters to all my needs) but the weapons are top-notch and the breakdown ability is one of my favorite things period.
I figured out why the kit was glitching on me the last time I actually tried to use the guns.It glitches out when I try to open the acc. kit the quick way (tap the fire-mode key). The proper way was to access the kit via the AID section. Also, in a future update, is it possible to have the UMP with a full-length magazine model?
Also, how did you make the red-dot and holographic sight reticles NOT get blanked out when I use a Stealth Boy or wear an armor that cloaks me while crouched?
That shouldn't happen (never happened to me). It's possible, though, that there's a vulnerability there I overlooked. I will see about making the script more glitch-proof.
It is unlikely any new attachments will be added, to any of the weapons. Future updates will focus on expanding the main quest and improving Aguilars' Last Option, as a player's home (and, if needed, bug fixing).
I made the reticles ignore environmental lighting, so that they maintain a consistent luminousity regardless of whether you're out in broad daylight or inside a dungeon.
I didn't actually add any new ammo type - I only renamed 12.7mm to .50AE, without changing any other stats (I did that mostly for personal use. I guess I shouldn't have forced it on anyone using this mod). There will be no Caliber-compatible release, since none is needed.
Day late and a dollar short here (that's an understatement!!), but yeah, I really wish you hadn't put that name change in. Thankfully, I never trust a mod (call it paranoia, I like to customize every mod before using it), so I noticed the change and edited the scripts before loading the mod in-game, but not everyone who is going to use this mod can edit NVSE scripts, or is comfortable doing so. I understand changing things in mods purely for personal use, I have an entire shotgun overhaul that I put together and only have for personal use, but that kind of stuff should be kept separate.
Using the latest version of this as well as the latest version of Selective Fire, yet I get a message that my Selective Fire version is outdated and not compatible with this. I can configure it in the MCM, but my keybinds ( I tried several different keys) do nothing. Do I need to go either one or the other?
I cant seem to find meg AT ALL. i ran into that death claw and found the corroded medical tool. but from there, nothing. anybody that can give me some help here?
