Compatible only with the original Baja Island linked below, not Baja Island Home Version 6.
Required Baja Island Home by REZ http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/47817
Recommended URWL for NV http://planetfallout.gamespy.com/mods/494/URWL-for-New-Vegas-Realistic-Lighting
This changes the imagespace for Baja Island to NVDefault, it changes the sea to blue and puts some sand on the beach.
If you have a weather mod installed that changes NVDefault then that weather should now be present at the island.
If your weather mod adds rain then it may rain, sadly that means it will rain indoors, there's nothing that can be done about it.
Day/Night cycle...
Installation....
Install V5 of Baja Island Home by REZ http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/47817
Make a back up of the REZBajaIslandHome.eps (this is in case you want to switch back, just put the old esp back over this one.)
Install the contents of this archive overwriting/merging when asked.
Enable in whatever mod manager you choose.
FAQ....
Q. Oh my god it looks nothing like the screenshots.
A. I'm using URWL, it will look different if you're using a different weather mod or no weather mod at all.
Q. I use a mod that adds rain, how can I stop it raining indoors?
A. You can't, this is an issue with the engine that has been present since Morrowind.
Q. This is crap, how do I go back to the original?
A. Overwrite this esp with the original and delete the Desert2.dds and Desert2_n.dds from Textures\Landscape
Q. The extension says it's an ESP but NMM tells me it an ESM, what sort of skullduggery is this?
A. The ESM flag is set to prevent navmesh oddities.
Q. Can you add/remove/change x/y/z?
A. No but there's nothing stopping you doing it.
Q. How can I? I don't know how to mod.
A. http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php/Main_Page now you do.
Q. I'm a nerd and feel the need to point out in the comments that this isn't lore friendly, would you mind?
A. Yes I would, loremongers bore me and they will be reported.
Q. Do you have a recipe for chocolate sponge cake?
A. Yes I do but feel free to share yours in the comments.
