The Six Million Dollar Courier
-for Project Nevada Cyberware

By Timeburn

Requires:

Project Nevada

Specifically this mod requires the Cyberware module to be installed and active.

Optionally supports:

New Vegas Enhanced Content

ST Traits and Perks

The Mod Configuration Menu

Description:
I really loved PN's implant system, but hated having to spend 4 precious perks to upgrade all the implant slots.
But we can rebuilt it! We have the technology!

Introducing The Six Million Dollar Courier!

Doc was surprised when he found the bullet lodged in your bionic eye. Further examination revealed that your body had been
extensively modified. You're a Cyborg!

Your immune system had to be modified to handle the cybernetics, however, and can no longer adapt to your environment.
The extensive modifications to your body also render you vulnerable to EMP attacks. Be careful with those Pulse grenades!

As an added bonus, you can repair your damaged bionic eye and get Doc to reinstall it for you.

========================================================================================================================================

Features:

New Trait: The Six Million Dollar Courier
Choosing this Trait will immediately grant the player all the PN Implant slot upgrades, but at a cost.

Some Medical and Survival perks are no longer available to cyborgs.Your body cannot adjust naturally.
This is for balance purposes; since it gives free perks, others are unavailable. I've tried to keep it consistent, disabling
perks that conceputally affect your body, since it was already modified.

Your damaged bionic eye can be repaired at the Workbench with 35 Science or Repair, and reinstalled for an early nightvision implant.

The NVEC version includes the NVEC Cyborg perk, for a 10% boost to rad/poison resist, +10 Energy Weapons , and +3 DT. But it makes
more (DLC) perks unavailable.

Instructions:

----FOMM-------------------------------------------------------
I highly recommend using Fallout Mod Manager to install this mod. The scripted installer will help you choose the correct version.

1. Open Fallout Mod Manager

2. Click on Package Manager

3. In Package Manager, click on Add FOMOD on the upper right

4. Find the PN_Cyborg_Trait_1_2.rar file and double-click on it to add to FOMM

5. Double-click on "The Six Million Dollar Courier" to start the installer

6. Follow the prompts on the installer to select the appropriate version

7. Once the installer is finished, exit package manager, correct your load order and go.

----Manual Installation----------------------------------------

1. Unpack the downloaded file with WinRAR

2. Open the Main folder, find the folder for the correct version and copy ONE of the PN_Cyborg_Trait esps to your Fallout New Vegas\data directory.

3. OPTIONAL - If using the Vanilla version with Old World Blues, copy PN_Cyborg_OWB.esp into your Fallout New Vegas\data directory.
This fixes pulse weapon effects for Robots in the Big MT

3. OPTIONAL - from the STTraits folder, copy ONE of the PN_Cyborg_STTraits_Patch Esps to your Fallout New Vegas\data directory.

4. Activate in your load order manager and go

========================================================================================================================================

Load Order:

Load anywhere after "Project Nevada - Cyberware.esp".

If using the Vanilla version with the OWB patch, make sure the OWB patch loads after PN_Cyborg_Trait

If using ST Traits and Perks, load the patch _after_ both ST_TraitsandPerks and PN_Cyborg_Trait

========================================================================================================================================

Compatibility:

May conflict with any mod that changes Vanilla or DLC perks, or the Project Nevada Cyberware perks. A patch has been provided for ST Traits and Perks.

The specific perks affected are:

Rad Resistance
Life Giver
Lead Belly
Fast Metabolism
Chem Resistant
Day Tripper (the challenge remains, but the effect doesn't work if you're a cyborg)
Friend of the Night

in NVEC version:
Old World Gourmet
Tribal Wisdom
Mile in Their Shoes
Roughin' It
Irradiated Beauty
NVEC Cyborg Perk

May also conflict with any mod that changes Pulse weapon EFFECTS.So far I know of none.Does NOT conflict with EVE (I use it)

Bugs/Known Issues

This should only be installed for new games. If you install this into an existing save, any PN implant upgrades you've already selected
will be invisible in your pipboy. The perks are still there, just hidden.

If you select the trait at Doc's house, DO NOT REBUILD CHARACTER when prompted. Respec doesn't remove the trait or any of the implant
perks, and may cause those perks to stop working. This appears to be an issue with any mod-added traits and perks.

UPGRADING:
Due to the way MCM functions, the main ESP file must be named PN_Cyborg_Trait.esp.The 1.0 release of this mod had the different versions
listed in the archive with different names. If you installed one of these manually without renaming it, you WILL have issues upgrading.

If you rename the file, the MCM menu will not appear. options can still be configured with the inventory item.
get it with the console command: "player.additem XX0025B6 1 1", where XX is the mod's position in your load order

If you do not rename the file, The 6mil trait will vanish, balancing consequences will not function, and the options will be greyed out in MCM
To fix this, use the console command: "player.addperk XX000804", where XX is the mod's position in your load order.
You will end up with a spare damaged eye item, but everything should otherwise function as normal.
