ugh, this mod is EXACTLY what I was looking for but I won't download it.. I honestly don't want to put those sunglasses on my companions, I have a certain look for them and don't want to have to use those. Is there a way to enable them as squad companions without those glasses? (same for myself with commander glasses)
It might seem like a silly cosmetic thing, but I agree. Maybe a headset like Niner comes with? The glasses are a tripping point for me also, but a headset or dogtags might be a nice work-around. I have been trying to find something to make my companions follow in formation and this seems like a fix, were it not for the glasses.
Using something like fnvedit to make it so they were no longer assigned a slot might work. They would still equip but would display no model and be invisible. That and you would still be able to equip whatever else would ordinarlily be taken by the slot, like goggles or glasses.
Im super late to replay to this. But i will do it for future users who have this same preference. Your companions dont need to have the glasses equipped to be counted as squad members. Use this mod in conjunction with JIP CC&C. In the MCM you can configure JIP CC&C to allow you to select what a companion equips.
Just ensure the glasses are in the companion's inventory. They dont have to physically don them on to have squad functionality.
Would you be willing to update this mod or make a mod that allows followers to be in formation, I would love the idea of followers taking commands and having a proper body guard detail.
To anyone here: in the crate there is a delivery note. THIS WILL TELL YOU WHERE OTHER COMMS SPAWN! Such as the Gun Runners getting weekly "shipments". It's on the right side packed with all the other notes.

Nice mod, but got few bugs. 1st of all the restore Health script is bugged. Some companion will drop health to unconscious. Specially with mod " near death" will just fucked up the game play. ( even if you turn off the restore health option " guess this option is fucked up also ) So I changed your script for my own use. works fine now. 2ndly firing selected targets does not work 100%. I just ignore this command as all my companions have similar "fire at target" command.
to anyone that is loosing the keypad funtionality with this mod i think i found a way to avoid it : when asked , don't do the tutorial mini quest . if you want the 6 bodyguard just start in tutorial mode but refuse the tutorial quest
hey had love the mod but i have the latest NVSE installed along with other mods like TTW and FOOK along with others at first the mod would run but now it dont the other numpad keys work not 5 8 and 9 they used to but dont
