I'v never played FO1 or FO2, but in my limited experience Old World Blues really seemed to capture the quirkiness and 50's Sci-fi of fallout. I really enjoyed OWB, but found some places surprisingly sparse, with ample opportunity for expansion. Having a few days off I thought I would put together a demo of one location (as an example) I'd like to expand, z-38 lightwave dynamics research.

Currently it's just a few rooms, playing with holograms, lasers, valences etc that relate to Z-38. Most of the notes havn't been written (so the storyline won't be apparent). But it does have a couple of new weapons, new valences and a variant or two on some critters.

Beta 2 should be along in a few days and will double the playable area.

Although a small mod it weighs in at 66MB due to a lot of new models and textures (some won't be implemented until beta 2).

It's a very "mod friendly" esp, since it shouldn't overwrite any formlists. I'd recommend placing at the bottom of your load order. Just unzip everything into your data folder and tick OWBexpanded.esp. It's also leveled and should be an easy adventure.

Note: many doors are locked/inaccessible and are for future expansion, so don't knock yourself out looking for keys that may not exist.

Beta 2 adds moves all valence research to the annex and includes work on bots and cyberdogs, that will allow the player to equip rex and ed-e with a goodie or two. Once I figure out how to put a niviscontroller node on hte models I'll also release a stand alone pack of valences for those that don't want to go through the adventure.

I'd like the full mod to cover new robotic factories (for the various mark series), a large expansion of the gene splicing facility, (possibly) a VR sim where the thinktanks live a semi-human life, etc etc. OWB is such a rich environment the sky is the limit.

I'm putting out this small demo to kick myself in the butt and start producing some usable esp's, but also to gather new ideas and help from skilled mod authors that would like to work in conjunction to share the workload.
