Overview

A Thorny Situation is the fourth in a series of planned mods restoring cut content back to Fallout New Vegas. This mod restores a cut scenario in which the player can bring about the destruction of the Thorn fighting arena by releasing the caged animals. Is your character a frustrated member of the ALF, or just a psychopath who enjoys seeing men getting ripped limb from limb by wild beasts? If so, this is the mod for you!

By hacking into Red Lucy's computer you can now see the previously hidden option of turning off the power to the creature cages and in turn seal the fate of the Thorn as well as causing a really bad day for Westside residents. This was all present in the game but dummied out as the quest that would run it all was only half finished and abandoned due to lack of time. I have reactivated and finished the quest off based on script notes.

What's New

V1.0

- First version.

Installation

Simply extract all files from this archive to your FalloutNV/Data/ directory. click the "Data Files" option from the game's loader and tick the box next to athornysituation.esp

For best results, simply use the Fallout Mod Manager (FOMM) package installer.

Known Issues/Bugs

- The creatures find navigating the thin walkways difficult, and may end up getting stuck in a big heap trying to get through the same door. This is partly why the quest was abandoned to begin with as it's down to the game's pathing system.

Reporting Bugs

Please post bugs in the Thorny Situation topic on the Nexus forums.
