About this mod

This adds some minor cut content back to the quest \"My Kind of Town.\" and (hopefully) fixes buggy NPCs that comment about Primm being part of NCR, despite choosing Meyers as the Sheriff.

Permissions and credits
Note: This is a playable Work In Progress.

Playing the game again, I decided that I wanted to install a Sheriff and then promptly kill them and replace them with another sheriff. Attempting this, I saw that Primm never updated to see the status of its sheriff - digging into the Geck, I see that there is some voiceover content for just such a situation.

Now, you can choose a Sheriff and decide later that you'd like to replace them. Hayes and McGee stick around because they were stationed in the area to watch Powder Gangers, not protect Primm, so it didn't make sense to have them leave once Primm gets a sheriff. I still have Hayes leave if McGee is made sheriff since Primm would then become an outpost and his services could be used elsewhere.

While I was at it, I decided to look at the global variable that has people comment about Primm being part of NCR. I believe I've removed any incorrect associations, but I may have missed some.

To get this to work right, you're probably going to have to start from a new game. Meyers' dialog depends on the sub-quest for having spoken to him about the parden being open (this is how the original game has it set up). Unfortunately, this quest line defaults to mark every objective complete on a normal playthrough, so Meyers would never initiate the dialog to take over Primm if the original sheriff has died. Choosing Primm Slim or the NCR (who would be located in Camp Forlorn) could work via dialog, but I don't know that McGee would survive the walk from Forlorn to Primm.

There is still dialog for Meyers to recruit Powder Gangers as deputies and there's dialog of Hayes giving a pep talk to McGee for the post. I doubt I'll add those in, unless there's a positive request for it.
