The story so far:

There's a strange electrical generator near the water tank in Goodsprings.(The one in front of the Prospector Saloon.) If you touch it...you will die. That won't be the end, though. The strange being known as Gantz will take you, and how he uses your life from this point forward is to be determined. That's the theory, anyway. You will find yourself in a strange "apartment" in which you will find a Gantz Sphere. The sphere contains equipment for your future missions. Don't bother trying to tell anyone about your experience in the room. Your head will explode.

Known issues: You can walk through part of the sphere. You can activate it just fine, though. If anyone knows how to fix that with NifSkope, let me know.

1: These are not lore-friendly, and are pretty much god weapons. They're going to stay that way, because they're from Gantz. If I didn't have them blow things up on contact, it would be...not Gantz, actually. :P Don't worry, soon this won't be as big a deal, since I'm adding more content.

2: If you have a problem with overpowered anime weapons, don't download this. I won't put up with anyone whining about how it's "too easy" with these things, or that it breaks lore or whatever. If you've read Gantz, which is hopefully something you've done considering you're downloading a mod using Gantz as source material, you know that these guns are going to be almighty among anything you encounter in the wasteland.

That said, I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed figuring out how everything worked in the GECK. It wasn't exactly a painstaking process, but these things don't put themselves together.

Gantz Mod 1.2:

Required DLC: Old World Blues. (I wish I didn't have to require DLC for this, but OWB re-added the Bloody Mess crit effect that Liberty Prime's weapons had in Fallout 3, and my attempt at scripting together a similar effect ended in frustrated failure. Sorry about that. :( )

Added weapons:

Gantz X-Gun: Short-range weapon using the Alien Blaster model, accurate to a fault at times, causes enemies to explode into tiny pieces when hit with the projectile it fires. Has a four-round "magazine" of MF Breeder ammo, recharges at a rate of 1 shot every second. Strongly recommended to use in VATS mode, because at a flat cost of 10 AP per shot, you can clear out a room in a few seconds, in what I feel is a pretty good imitation of the X-Gun's multi-lock, simultaneous shot X-ray targeting system.

Gantz X-Rifle: Long-range sniper version of the X-Gun using the Gauss Rifle model. /very/ accurate, same effect as the X-Gun, and scoped. Don't bother with VATS on this unless you really can't afford to miss that shot, since it costs 50 AP to fire a single shot. Uses a 1-shot, 1-recharge-per-second magazine of MF Breeder ammunition. Perfect for covering your allies or taking out a single, or small group of enemies, from afar before the team moves in.

Credits:

Bethesda, for the vanilla and OWB resources I used to make this mod(as of Version 1.0)

Oku Hiroya, writer and illustrator of Gantz, without which I wouldn't have been inspired to make these weapons.

The communities of Nexus, VGU, and loverslab(sorry if they're "unmentionable" but I won't leave people out of the credits over politics) for answering questions, offering advice, and putting up with me in general.

My best friend, Veronica, for putting up with my constant gibbering during the creation of this mod.

You can use the data contained within this mod however you want. Please credit me if you use this as a base, or add the weapons contained within to your own mod, and let me know, so I can check it out! It'd be an honor to see my stuff in a bigger mod. Once I add my own resources, try to respect the time I put into making them, and please refrain from using them and not providing credit.

If you have any questions, comments, or constructive criticism, fire away in the comments section or PM me. If you have nothing remotely positive to say, don't bother saying anything at all, since it'll most likely get you banned.

Future ambitions:

Add more weapons/equipment from Gantz to the game.

Maybe get unique models made for the guns? (That's a big maybe.)
