Short of it;
This mod was made for hardcore mode only.
Adds new medical items and recipes, increases damage and effects from fires and poisons, changes the way fatal sleep deprivation works, and edits some ingestibles to have extra "hardcore" style effects. I'm trying to stray away from thing that other mods already deal with.
In depth;
All vanilla (not DLC or mod added YET, though there weren't that many that I saw anyway) fire effects and poison effects have been amplified. Fire is extremely dangerous now, dealing large amounts of damage while it burns(just over 20 damage for 5 seconds, depending) then dealing constant but low damage from the after burn (and reducing some stats), super and ultra stimpacks are your new best friend against the new damage levels. Some poisons (e.g. Cazadores, giant radscorpions) will kill you in moments with no protection while others are drawn out over extensive periods unless treated, all poisons now do "internal" damage too, whether to limbs or deprivation/dehydration levels. Snakebite tourniquets (from lonesome road), antivenom and a high level medicine skill with first aid kits will quickly solve these problems though.
A lot of vanilla chems have also been modified to have some detrimental effects, for example stimpaks now deal damage to sleep deprivation, while super stimpaks deal health damage for a while after the healing effects have worn off.
New items;
Bandages; restores limbs a small amount, restores small amounts of health and reduces agility depending on the level of your medicine ability (for 120 seconds). (also reduces carry weight and AP for a short period, 15 seconds to represent the player "using" the item)
First Aid Kit; restores good amounts of health and small amounts of radiation, also reduces carry weight and AP over 30 seconds
Ultra Stimpak; Restores large amounts of health, hunger and hydration while damaging sleep deprivation.
Recipes for these new ingestible medicals can be found at any workbench (first aid kits and bandages) and campfire (ultra stims, new super and regular stimpak recipes).
All of these items have been added to leveled lists as well, so you will find them in containers and at vendors.
Note; The exact effects may not always show up when you hover the mouse over certain items in your pipboy inventory screen and the effects section of the stats screen, this is because some effects are set to run at percentages are are not always being applied, do not worry though, the full effect of the item will always be applied when used.
Sleep deprivation;
No longer instant kills you at a certain level, as per this mod;

There is no requirement for this mod though, and having both will do nothing more than clog your load order.
I have tried to be realistic in these edits and I am happy to hear constructive criticism toward the mod and any advice or ideas for future edits or additions
I also intend to release a full list of changes in the readme when it is finished. I wanted to hear some opinions first.
There will be compatibility issues with mods like FOOK which manually edit medical ingestible in the same way that I have. I've tried to be as compatible as possible, but I don't use fook, and I don't know of EVERY mod out there, just most of them. :P
