I can't believe this still works and as beautifully as it does in TTW with no updates. Using Desert Natural Weathers and the brighter moon glow, I turned my nighttime brightness up to 2 on all fronts in the DNW config file (had no idea that DNW was why my nights were so dark), and for my subjective taste, it looks absolutely stunning.
This is exactly what has been missing from my run and what has especially kept me from really playing at night because it was simply too dark. With this, though, it's hard not to stargaze and appreciate the post-apocalyptic scenery of minimal light pollution and a bright galaxy above. Thank you for ending on a helpful FOMOD installer and for the excellent work here!
Fully compatible with TTW (Fallout 3 - Capital Wasteland)
Just thought I would post that clearly for anyone playing TTW like me that was unsure if it would work smoothly on FO3 in the capital. I'm also using True Weather and Desert Natural Weathers, just add this mod below so it overwrites.
I know this mod is now approaching 12 years old but I still wanted to take the time to thank CptJoker71 as this improves things quite dramatically. The stars are a very big and noticeable difference but for me it's also the moon, I have a couple of weather mods that work brilliantly together but because of the limitations with the engine whenever there is some cloud cover the moon just looks like a dark grey blob it looks terrible. With the brighter moon option, it still looks a bit washed out when it's cloudy but it is much better, And the main thing is it stops being distracting. Things that look bad or out of place distract you and break the immersion.
This mod helps with that dramatically, so thank you.
Were you using a weather mod? Something like DNW has a config ini where you can change the brightness values of day and night. Mod author mentioned that he balanced the look of this mod for an old ENB and a different weather mod.
When I'm out on the Strip or anywhere, sometimes the stars will disappear and I'll just have a blank sky. I'm using Realistic Wasteland Lighting, Interior Lighting, Cobalt ENB, and Simple Street Lights. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do?
This mod is still as great as ever. The sky is really nice and feels natural. Walking with dark nights really makes you feel like losing yourself amongst the stars. Endorsed.
