My first mod since... oh, Starcraft 1, I guess.

It's very simple: This mod will make it so that you start off the game at Doc Mitchell's house wearing the Patient Gown from Old World Blues. Pretty much exactly how Old World Blues starts, in fact.

The Fallout 3/NV underwear has always been ridiculous ("Let me strip off these filthy rags to reveal my brand new gym shorts and undershirt!"), and this way you don't have to look at that during the first quest. Or, if you use a nudity mod to rid yourself of that nonsense, it makes it so that you don't have to be naked during the first quest.

The mod also removes the patient gown from your inventory as soon as Doc Mitchell gives you the vault suit. This is for balance: absurdly, the Patient Gown has a higher DT than the (leather!) vault suit, and is worth 200 caps. So it was either remove the gown at the door, or reduce the stats on the gown. And, anyway, it seemed reasonable for Doc Mitchell to just take the gown back.

Installation is as normal: put it in your Data folder and turn it on with FOMM or the launcher. I expect there will be compatibility problems with things that modify the Patient Gown itself or the quest Ain't That a Kick in the Head, although I have found this to be compatible with Kobu's "Free Wild Wasteland Trait" mod.

Oh, and no doubt this mod requires Old World Blues in order to work. Heh.

Like I said, it's my first mod, so let me know if there are any problems. Or, fix them yourselves; just give me a share of the credit.
