Oh man, so many comments. Haven't played this game in a long while and I decided to fire it up again. Gonna try to answer some questions.
1. Weapon is too strong! - Was thinking I would lower the value so it isn't massively OP (even though it will still be strong).
2. Cannot locate it in either location! - Not sure why. The weapon does not use any files other than the base FalloutNV.esm so I don't know why it would not show up unless it was installed incorrectly or another mod is conflicting with its location.
3. Can you make it NMM compatible? I've been away from Fallout modding for a long while and thus, missed the NMM boat. I will try to look into how to do it since others say it's not that difficult so that it will be NMM compatible.

I understand perfectly if you do not want to, but could you: Let the one-handed sword be carried on the player's back (I am not sure if it is possible though) Give the one handed sword the 'Mauler' special attack instead of 'Back Slash' (Although yours is labelled as 'dragon roar')
Getting what is DEFINITELY a mesh or texture error. I found the spot. Two guys in power armor and a red sign with an exclamation point. No case, no swords. Gonna need to use console to get it.
Pretty sure I know what's causing this for you, if you never figured it out.
If you're using a Mod Manager like Mod Organizer, check how the file was extracted. Mine had the files in a /Data/folder, you need to take those contents and put them in the root of the ModOrganizer mod.
Otherwise, if you did it manually then I'd do the same and make sure you didn't put a Data folder in the Data folder.
Why can't I delete my post? Anyway since the trojan problem turned out to be a false positive I'll edit this to add something constructive.
If you don't like the disintegration on death effect go into FNVEdit and look for the crit data section. Get rid of the "on death" flag and set the effect to "null reference [00000000]"
Finding the weapon: If anyone is like me and trying out a bunch of mods for their playthrough. The weapon is in the gas station in goodsprings. Problem of course is that you cant get in there at the start of the game. No problem tho, go talk to sunny at the bar and advance the questline a little bit. At some point she will tell you to go to the bar and talk to rudy.
Go there witness the event and advance the quest with her until she tells you about ringo and then from there you can go inside the gas station. Less then 5 mins.
Using the recolor was also easy with Vortex.
I downloaded like normal and simply then uninstalled it. I right clicked it to find the folder and dragged the correct color folder into the games directory. i replaces the two files and presto. It is pretty strong tho. But hell if its not cool. Ill probably reserve it for when i get to stuck or whatever.
So the guy who made this mod disabled his account, and IDK where else I can find help with this, but every time I enable this mod my game crashes when it displays the Bethesda Logo. I'm installing it manually, overwriting the data folder, and putting the esp and esm in the data folder afterwards, but it still keep crashing. I know this is the one that's causing it because when I disable it, the game gets to the main menu with no issue.
not sure what the problem is but it's gotta be a conflict of some sort, I don't have that issue im not saying I can help but if you post your load order maybe someone will see something wrong.
you can also try loading up fnvedit and look for conflicts
this is way late and im only speculating but did you perhaps had both esps active at the same time? b/c small things like that mess up an old game like this.
