About this mod

A port into NV of the Vault Girl outfit I made for FO3. Comes in boots (vault suit) or shoes (vault utility jumpsuit) with all of the in-game vaults represented, plus cut content Vault 24, and the Famous Vault 69, the most popular vault around!! Non-replacer, does not affect the vanilla models, but does give one to Sarah at Vault 21 hotel. Yowza

I made this outfit kind of on a lark for a single picture in a long pictorial story I'm working on, but I thought it was super cute and lots of people asked for it so now I'm passing it on to you. It's basically a modified merc charmer outfit, with no sleeves, fit to the vaultsuit texture, with vault belt and shoes attached. Hope you enjoy.

The NV version acts entirely as a non-replacer, and does not affect the existing Vaultsuits, as is an option in the FO3 version. I have not made a replacer version because hardly anyone actually wears a Vault Suit in NV, so there didn't seem to be much of a point. The one person who does, Vault 21 Hotel proprietress Sarah Weinstraub, is now wearing one, and she looks great in it! I've also done a few tweaks to her to improve her appearance.

IT IS POSSIBLE THAT AFTER HAVING SEX WITH SARAH SHE MAY PUT ON THE OLD VAULTSUIT AGAIN INSTEAD OF THE NEW ONE. IF THAT HAPPENS, YOU CAN EITHER USE RESURRECT IN THE CONSOLE, OR SHE SHOULD CHANGE WHEN HER INVENTORY RESETS AFTER SOME TIME PASSES

There are vault girl outfits for all of the in-game vaults: 3, 11, 19, 21, 22, and 34, and also Vault 24, which I gather was cut content, but they left the texture in there so I threw it in. Also included is the vault suit and utility suit from the Famous Vault 69, one of the most popular vaults around!!! All of the clothes are to be found in a box, by the fence behind Doc Mitchell's house. Reference the include screenshot.

There are 5 copies of each except for the V69, which has only one per type, and that's all that they will ever have, by my hand. When it comes to Vault 69, you need two, and three is a crowd.

(cough)

All of them, by the way, are based off the regular vaultsuit template, so all of them have no real DT. They don't really cover much anyway, and DT is pretty over-rated as far as I'm concerned. If that's a problem, I'd be happy to advise on how to change them personally to suit your preferences using the Geck. There are two versions, one with black boots that is built off the regular vault suit, and one with the converse-ish shoes from the utility suit. The utility variant is only available in thE Vault numbers that have a vanilla utility suit.

SHOE COLOR VARIANTS are available as shown in the screenshots. I have elected not to include a model for each shoe color, but rather have made it easy to tweak the install to get the color that you'd like to have. See instructions in the installation section below. CHANGING THE SHOE COLOR ON THE TEXTURE IS NOT DIFFICULT, SO I WILL ACCEPT REQUESTS TO MAKE NEW COLORS FOR A LATER ADD-ON, SO IF THERE IS A COLOR THAT YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT, LET ME KNOW. Please, solid colors only. I am not very good at making my own textures, so patterns, plaids or paisleys are beyond my ability level at this point in my modding career. If you want them to look good, at least.

INSTALLATION: Unzip the files. Take the data folder and drop it into your New Vegas folder so that it merges with the existing Data folder. By default install, your data folder is located at c:// program files (x86 for win7)/steam/steamapps/common/fallout new vegas/data, or at least something close to that. If you did not do a default isntall, then I imagine you know where your data folder is already. Activate the esp, and enjoy.

CHANGING THE SHOE COLOR: After install, find in the downloaded files the folder marked ShoeVariants. Inside are the 4 color choices. Pick the one you want and open that file. COPY (don't just pull them out!) the texture folder, and paste it into your data file so that it merges with the existing texture folder, and overwrites the original texture file shoes.dds. That's all there is to it. If you just pull them out, however, you lose the originals, and will be forever going back to download the file just to get more.

DEINSTALLATION: Erase the jovaultgirlnv esp. Go into your textures and meshes folders to the jonasclothes folder, and erase it or just the Vault girl folder inside of both of them. Feel sad.
