---- Description --------------
This lore-friendly mod completely redecorates the Courier's room at the Novac Motel. The vanilla room looked like a pigsty, but I loved the location. So I wanted the room to look nice, but also like something that could have been scrounged together with stuff found across the Mojave. There's also an optional plugin that changes the motel's immediate surroundings.

Novac Motel - Couriers Room.esp
  • NEW: Customizable wall art! You can now select from NCR, Legion, Lucky 38, Old World, Great Khans, Brotherhood of Steel, or Followers of the Apocalypse themed wall art. Or just stick with the good old Nuka Cola sign! Use the Journal to customize.
  • Working Lights: All room lighting comes from a visible light source. With the exception of sunlight (which is dependent on weather conditions and time of day), all the lights can be switched on or off at the player's whim.
  • Crafting Activators: You can access the campfire menu with a toaster, the workbench menu with a toolbox, and the reloading bench menu with a reloading press. (Thanks to Lord Inquisitor for the modder's resource!)
  • Shave and a Haircut: Use the razor in the bathroom to access the barber menu!
  • Tons of Storage: The room is filled with unique containers for storing things in. No more wondering which of those five identical lockers you stuck your Standard-Issue B.F.G. in!
  • Fully navmeshed: Your companions shouldn't be getting stuck on re-arranged furniture.

Novac Motel - Exterior.esp (Optional)
  • A fence that actually looks like it was erected by a town of prospectors and mechanics.
  • Gated second entrance to the motel parking lot - no more burned out bus barricade!
  • Working campfire in front of the bungalows. Includes idle markers for NPCs!
  • Park bench, playground, and flagpole behind the bungalows.
  • Fully navmeshed! Cleared out areas and the new back gate should be fully accessible to NPCs.

---- Instructions -------------
FOMM: Start FOMM and click on Package Manager. Click on Add FOMod and select the archive you just downloaded. Novac Motel - The Courier's Room will now appear in the list. Select it and click Activate. To uninstall, click Deactivate.

Manual: Extract to your data directory, and activate the .esp files in the launcher. There are two .esp files in this mod, and you can active one or both. To uninstall, delete the .esp files and the /meshes/NovacMotel/ directory.

---- Compatibility ------------
Obviously, this mod will conflict with anything that alters the player's room in Novac.

The optional exterior plugin will probably conflict with any mod that specifically alter the fence or navmesh around the motel. I know there are a few mods out there that overhaul the town of Novac and surrounding areas; these probably won't play well with the Exterior plugin. I haven't tested this with Electro-City, so I don't know if it plays nice with that, but it DOES work well with Simple Street Lights.

---- Bugs / Issues ------------
For some reason, some of the the textures on the interior cells (ceiling, door frame) will freak out and look stretched if the angle is wrong. I think I've fixed the worst of it, but it's still noticable sometime. I think this is a bug with the cell mesh itself, though, because you can find it in unedited rooms too if you're looking for it.
