I've got a unique problem with MCM! It works fine for some time after opening the game but doesn't open after opening MCM a few times in game. A pop-up says that MCM works only when mods using it are installed. But MCM was working fine showing the mods before. HELP!!! This happens everytime i load the game.!
Having the same issue other people in this thread have been having for a little while now, MCM is properly installed and activated but it just doesn't show up in the pause menu. On steam deck and using Vortex, if anyone has advice yet.
Game would crash with MCM and the Just Assorted Mods at the main menu with the music still playing. Had to uninstall one or the other to launch. Most of the JAM mods also crashed individually with MCM as well. So if you are crashing on the main menu with music, disable JAM!
It would be nice if someone mentioned how you open the mcm since this appears different than FO4 or Skyrims. I'm not seeing anywhere that mentions how to open and I've tried clicking every button on my keyboard.
FOR STEAM DECK USERS (and maybe linux idk): if you're using mo2 you can install MCM by using the manual option and pushing OK without changing anything. then install ohud like normal to have the MCM button show up in the pause menu oHUD: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44757
For those who are having the issue with MCM not showing up, I fixed it by enabling the plugin. It was disabled by default for whatever reason. I'm using MO2 by the way. All I'm saying is just check to see if the plugin is enabled.
The Mod Configuration Menu will not be displayed until you install a mod that utilizes it's menus. For example if you were to install a mod such as JAM - Just Assorted Mods your MCM menu would now be available.
The mod doesn't work, when I go to install it and the installation menu appears it tells me that the nvse is outdated but I have version 6.3.5, which is the most recent so...
edit: i install the entire game again and now it detects nvse
