Just a comment on this very old mod that I doubt would ever been looked at again. The writing on the side of the Laser RCW that says "rapid capacitor weapon" and "the big meltdown" is a bit out of place because it makes the weapon look like a novelty item with the writing. Idk if its the font choice or the whole existence of it, but yeah just my opinion. I still like this retexture though.
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WANT TO USE THIS AND EVE AT THE SAME TIME; You will need FNVEdit.
1. Open FNVEdit, load all of your active esps. 2. Paste this into the formID searchbar at the top and press enter; 0009073b 3. In the right pane, above all of the weapon information, you will see the esms and esps that reference the RCW. Right click on the EVE FNV - ALL DLC (or whatever EVE esp you may have enabled) and delete them. FNVEdit will give you a warning, don't worry about that. Just click that you know what you're doing when it gives you the prompt. 4. Now in the left pane find the EVE FNV - All DLC.esp file (or again, whatever equivalent you may be using) 5. Expand the esp information by pressing the plus sign to the left of the name and scroll down to the static category, expand that, too 6. Now you will see all the editor IDs for a bunch of weapons, "1stPersonLaserPistol, 1stPersonGrenade", etc. Scroll through these and delete any with Laser RCW in it's name. There should be two in total. 7. Exit out of FNVEdit. A prompt will come up. EVE FNV - ALL DLC should already be ticked, but definitely make sure Backup Plugins is ticked in case you need to rollback if anything goes wrong Now, if done correctly, the Laser RCW in game should be replaced without having to disable EVE.
Thank you for the help, the only thing that is annoying is that the laser that the rcw shoots is green and there are some barrel fx for vents that no longer exist. Unfortunately I cannot seem to figure out which file changes that rcw fx.
@GlumTundra013 You have to change the projectile data of the weapon in FNVEdit. To match the change of the green impacts of the gun, you also have to change the IMPACT data. You could also the disintegration data in FNVEdit to further make things consistent
Please could someone answer me something? what is the difference between the normal LRCW and the unique? i noticed it has a lower capacity(40) but a higher base damage and dps. but does it has some of the modifications like the recycle one? IT would be a must for me for it to have it since it has a lower ammo capacity. Weapon Mods Expanded gives it new mods too like lower weight and a medium range scope. those would be nice additions in the future too(or make it compatible with WME).
Now, the last time the mod author went online is in 2011. So i may aswell try to ask, Im making a fallout 4 mod that puts the RCW into F04, but unfortunetly the ported NV texture looks like a pixel party. So, I was wondering if i can use your HD texture for my FO4 mod.
Quite obviously im not gonna get a reply from somebody who hasnt gone online in 5 years.
