It was a lovely mod for some time, but i eventually had to dump it as it slowed my game down a lot and I kept getting rads stuck (inital rainfall radiation then it wouldn't go away, even indoors)... shame as it is a great mod, but my gameplay is best without it.
Hope the author comes back to iron out these issues!

This was my first weather mod, and probably the most atmospheric. But honestly fits better in the DC wasteland than Nevada.

The best in lighting and the worst in other things.
Drop fps and the rain is a test of my nervous system.
Does anybody know how to turn off the rain and other effects? All I like is the lighting and the clouds.

How well does this work with most ENB presets? I’m using the discontinued Jay’s ENB (I really do like it, probably the best of all the many New Vegas ENB presets I’ve tried in the past), and don’t want to f*** things up more than I realistically would have to. I’m really only interested in any of these weather mods due to a few of them (this and Project Nevada, which I know will bugger my ENB) adding rain.

Also, does this effect the DLCs?

I've got a 2080 Ti and have since tried this out with Jay's ENB and the performance for me is nowhere remotely like that.

I have noticed that capping fps (Vsync or not) tends to really negatively impact performance. However, with an uncapped framerate performance does tend to be significantly better. I have seen dips into the low 40s, in areas like the Strip during rain storms (I also use The Strip Open).

Anyway, it rains way too much with the default weather cycle. If choosing 'pleasant' for example, will it still rain and snow and such and be overcast / cloudy, just not as frequently?

Do you know what the situation is concerning the DLCs?

A'ight, so I might be the only person to have this issue or maybe there are others that can back me up on this.
Like many others, the thought of radioactive rain being implemented into a Fallout game is f***ing rad (pun intended). And while I understand visual distortions being a possibility in such a scenario, what I don't understand is why the visual effects (trippy double vision) play whenever I'm indoors.

If anyone has a solution to this other than disabling rad-rain, that'd be great. If not a solution, at least comment if you are of the same opinion.

Are you getting good frame rate with this? There is no solution to the problem the mod author abandoned it years ago that's why its so buggy and too bad it looks so good I even played at 30 FPS just to use it but then it just kept messing up and soon at 12-15FPS I just had to say Goodbye. RIP you will be missed.

I tried uninstalling and now my game crashes the second I hit the play button. And I don't mean continue or anything like that. The game literally will not even go through the very initial loading screens.

I really enjoyed the mod's features, but I had to uninstall it because my game was seemingly locked at 10-12 FPS everywhere with it enabled. The problem didn't surface right away either; it was after several hours of gameplay with the mod that my FPS got that low. I even tried disabling all the additional features in the configuration menu, but still, the problem persisted. I was only able to return to the FPS I had before installing it by removing the mod. I see in the comments that I'm not alone in this, so I wanted to add my experience here for other people considering this mod: you should look elsewhere for a weather overhaul.
